I particularly appreciated the second one which gave tips on when you receive plug plants, and young plants by post.
I was finding more compost in the box than in the pots. I wrote to suggest if pots and compost could be ‘held’ together by plastic bags this would keep the plants in tact, and also the soil more moist.

I received the Agapanthus I ordered from QVC yesterday and the leaves are mainly all yellow. After watching your video I’ve cut some of the leaves off, watered them and put them in pots. Hopefully they’ll be fine.
Thanks Michael for the video.

Michael, my problems don’t come when the plants arrive, but later. I pot them up religiously in the modular trays sold on qvc but the roots rarely develop. The leaves grow and they look like they’re thriving, but when I come to plant them out, it’s very rare that there’s any root growth at all. Once they’re in the ground or a larger container, they go like crazy. What am I doing wrong? The soil in the Langdon trays seems to stay really wet despite the drainage holes. Is it possible that I’m cramming too much of Richard Jackson’s compost into each container and almost killing the plants with kindness? Please comment if you have the time, because this happens every year and drives me scatty! Many thanks.

Would love to see it covered in flowers, including some tall ones, could you give me any suggestions please?
