Home schooling resumes

Hello there – I hope you’re all holding up. It all feels a bit over whelming right now. I actually had a little cry this morning but feel better for it now.

So the inevitable has happened and we are back to home schooling, where each child needs my full attention from 9 – 3 and the workloads seem relentless this time round with deadlines for hand-in. I have no idea how any parent working full time from home is supposed to it!

They also want feeding every 5 seconds, manage to trash the house and produce a ridiculous amount of laundry! To make this chore slightly less, I may have taken to wearing the odd T-shirt I’ve slept in the night before! Don’t judge me! I’m exhausted!

Add to that, the insomnia is creeping back – when a child wakes in the night because they can’t find their favourite teddy – which turns out to be right beside them – I struggle to get back to sleep, resulting in finally dropping back off just as they wake up for breakfast! Pass me the wine!!

So life is how it is right now and being able to escape to work is, to be honest, a total joy!
