Alison,I was so very sorry to hear of your mums passing. I haven’t ever written on your blog before but have followed you intently as a close family member was going through the same as you. You gave me and us as a family so much hope and inspiration and proved what an incredibly strong woman you are which i’m sure will help you deal with your loss. Dead Ali had missed you on Acc and thought I would check your blog. So so sorry to read that your mum had passed away. She looked such a lovely lady. She will be at peace now and no longer suffering. I know exactly what you are all going through my sister and I lost our dad just last wednesday. It’s hard going getting all the arrangements sorted. Sending you and your family lots of love. So sorry to read your sad news. I lost my darling Mum in 1989 she was just 43. However, my Grandad had a fall in July this year and could not walk. He was taken into hospital for 2 weeks and much like your Mum was then taken into a rehabilitation home. He stayed there for 10 weeks and then sadly he has had to go into a Nursing Home. Prior to this he was in his own bungalow and at 98 and with the support of us, his family was able to stay there with Carers coming in daily. He really is not well now and has heart failure and renal failure but we have made so many memories with him since his fall and taken so many photos. He is loved so much and I just hope that he never has to suffer. My thoughts are with you and your family at this time.

Dear Ali,
Have just seen your sad news. What can I say that hasn’t already been said. I lost my mother many years ago when I was a child so I do know the pain and sadness you and your family will be going through. We will always have our memories and I truly believe our loved ones will always be with us . It took many years before I could smile after losing my mum at such a young age.( My father re – married and I never got on with his new wife). But I got there in the end . We will always have our memories of happier times which nobody can take away.

So very sorry to hear you sad news Alison. My heart goes out to you as I have lost all my family and my husband was the last to go. I am pleased you have a family to spend Christmas with(first Christmas is always terrible) I always hate that time of year as I am by myself and it seems to go on forever. Just read the news about your mum Alison. I’m so sorry for your loss. What a wonderful life you gave her. I absolutely love the photograph of you four girls together. By golly, how much alike do you all look. Your mum certainly passed on her strong genes, and lives on in you all. I do hope your mum is in that lovely place she said she was going to.
