Short and sweet!

Well hello everyone! My goodness it has indeed been more than just a wee while since we caught up. Don’t blame me… blame the shingles!! Oh my word! What a shocker that’s been!! Hopefully that’ll be an isolated event as I’d rather not have to do battle with that again!!

Anyway, I do hope you’re all fair and dandy and… dare I even say it… starting to get organised for “that” time of year?? I think in many ways (and for many good reasons too), there’ll be more than just a few of us wanting to tick those boxes a tad earlier this year.

So ok, I know I say this every year… but this really is the year that everything will be done by Sunday 5th December (really, honest!!). I wasn’t too bad last year except for the wrapping (always drives me insane) and I missed out on one of our fabulous gift bag sets (note to self). So yes, this year I want the tree and the decorations all up and everything done and “wrapped up” by that date. It’s strange… I can do all the present shopping but really don’t like wrapping anything until the tree is up (not sure why really).

And wow this year will be the first in over 30 that I’m not going for a real tree!! But I am very, very excited as I bought the Santa’s Best Today’s Special Value (TSV) a few weeks ago and I’m very much looking forward to having a slightly easier time of it this year (or is this old age or just plain laziness creeping in?). In any event, I’ll be showing photographic evidence of the said tree and wrapped presents in my blog following the D-Day/date given above (… or not?). Watch this space!!

Well, I am indeed going to be back on your screens this weekend and there’s lots to keep an eye out for. Get into “shape” with our fabulous Tarte TSV this Friday – a five-piece collection and gorgeous bag too, available on pre-sell already here. The price is incredible for all that you get, which includes the stunning Shape Tape Contour Concealer, a Super Glow Powder in a choice of three shades to give that soft focus finish, a great eyeshadow palette and finally their super duper Lights Camera Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara!!

I also happen to have my eye on the great British iconic brand of Radley and they have a beautiful offer coming up on Monday, created for us especially at QVC. It’s all about texture, colour and style and I certainly don’t think you’re going to be disappointed with this TSV. It’s a really goldilocks of a handbag in every way… i.e. “just right”!! (For anyone out there that doesn’t know what I’m rambling on about 🤣). I’m only struggling here to choose my favourite. Add to the mix a Skechers TSV on Saturday and most of you will understand why I’m more than just a wee bit looking forward to returning to The Q!

Now the title of this blog is “short and sweet”. This is not intended as a reference to the blog length but more of an explanation as to my very short manicure that I’m currently sporting (see feature photo). My nails are normally a lot longer but with being more than just a tad under the weather of late, I’ve gone back to base level. I have to say though, there are so many great nail products that we offer here at QVC it’s not difficult to get a fab result even if you either can’t have or don’t want a longer look. Just take a look at our OPI Big Deal!!

Well, I’ll finish this little blog by saying how proud I am that upon a quick proofread of the above text, I’ve just realised that although the entire first section was dedicated to talking about “that” time of year, I didn’t mention the “C” word once!!

Don’t worry that’ll all probably change when I get back at the weekend. 😊

Hope to see you then.

Take care,

Anne xx

    1. Hi Karen,
Thanks so much for your lovely comments. Yes no more “Shingle” bells for me!! Horrid!!
All good now though….and I hope you’re well too 🥰xx

  2. Hi Ann, You have my deepest sympathy having Shingles, ohhhh my word I had it a few years ago in my head, scalp & eye which resulted in an emergency ophthalmic appointment at my local hospital as it was looking like it may effect my sight, I do not know how I sat in that hospital department I felt so ill & the pain in my head just did not go away, To this day I still suffer with the head pain when I get stressed or anxious, so take care of yourself even more now & plenty of rest Ann. Thought I had missed you on screen, so welcome back & all good health & happiness to you, yours & all at QVC
