Jewellery focus! And early pics of upcoming offers

It was nice to have a few days off this week and to see little Blake after picking her up from nursery on Thursday. Saw my old friend Gill for a catch up on Wednesday (see below), and had some very contrasting weather videos! But in advance of next week‘s birthday week blog, I thought I would just give a little mention to some of the beautiful jewellery pieces I was given recently at work by our stylist, Stine (you can follow her on @StinestylistQVC.)

346381 – the top pic features the lovely little dog pendant and chain in sterling silver. Have a look here online at the one available, it’s very much akin to Radley’s Westie dog, isn’t he?

346363 – the Dannii Minogue Infinity earrings – you may have seen me wearing these on QVC. Big enough to see underneath my big hair, and very comfortable! (Go here to see and buy!)

345874 – the mixed metal bracelet, also in this shot, by Bibi Bijoux. We don’t have as much online as we used to of this range, so check it out quickly here as I think the necklace with a heart on that I’ve been wearing has gone!

Watch out, no pun intended, for a super pink Diamonique watch that I will be wearing soon, as well as a friendship bracelet style, all in Diamonique. And for those who have been asking, I will definitely have my bee jewellery back in stock towards the end of the month! Yay!

Heads up

Just wanted to give you a quick heads up about this lovely range called Scentered, which has come to QVC. If you like Neom, it’s worth looking these up. Oh my goodness, I have loved the Scentered Wellbeing Aromatherapy Balm, there is a wonderful duo for just £24 here. Or maybe the Aromatherapy Sleep Essentials Kit at just £35.98, which also features one – as well as a candle and a sleep mask – available here. The balm reminds me a little of a fragrance I used to wear in the late 70s, early 80s, called Cinnabar, and the packaging is gorgeous. I loved it!  We are very lucky to get to try these out, aren’t we?

By the way, if you’re looking for a good night’s sleep, don’t forget the Tempur Comfort Pillow, which is still online at a good reduction, with over 100 five star reviews. It really is like sleeping on a cloud, and if you need convincing, go here to see them and maybe treat yourself to one, or at least try it on the first Easy Pay instalment – if you really need to explore the things that can help you sleep better. I also use the Magnesium Body Butter from Neom before I go to sleep (and a magnesium supplement). We all love our routines, don’t we? See also below for what I’ve been listening to!

Yarn bombers strike back!

It was Star Wars day this week, May the fourth (be with you! 🙂 ), and this post tickled me. The yarn bombers are back with a vengeance, this time with the little Star Wars characters made of yarn, decorating a postbox! You have to hand it to these people, they are very talented, aren’t they?!

Dehydrated…

…deliberately though, in this instance, kale! I tried yet another function on my amazing 9-in-1 Ninja Oven and created some kale crisps! Must do it more often, they make a brilliant snack instead of eating rubbish! Now I’ve got my tummy done, I’m really going to start trying to avoid the unhealthy choices! Especially because my annual health check is coming up… watch this space. 🙂

Coffee catch-up

Went back to the little Tolworth House I stayed in last summer to pick up a few things, as it’s about to be sold. My lovely friend Gill and her daughter Natalie then took me to lunch round the corner in The Court garden centre as a little early birthday treat. No kale crisps, but a lovely home-made soup and lots of time to catch up with one of my oldest friends as part of my birthday celebrations. More of this next week, I hope! And as luck would have it, as soon as I got home with my lovely sun umbrella that I left there, the heavens opened! Just my luck! See the vlog below!!

Watch

I can’t believe it took this long, but I finally got into Line of Duty. So this is what happened… Last week I wrote wrote my blog as usual on Wednesday. On Thursday, I believe, I ended up watching the first series and thoroughly enjoyed it, and guess what? A week later, I’m now on series five! I have to confess, I know who the person called H is, thanks very much newspaper headlines and radio coverage the next day… not! But I really enjoy all the performances and it’s highly recommended. One of the best series I’ve seen, I think. Why not give it a go and definitely try it, but watch from season one. There’s only six per season, so it’s much easier to binge watch! My record is five in one day – on my day off, ha ha. You?

Alternatively, you could watch the tributes put on our social media for lovely Kathy Tayler who retired this week – her last show was Thursday morning. Don’t forget to click on the inside QVC podcast link below, as last week Will did a farewell interview with our lovely friend and it was very emotional! We will miss you Kath! Go here to see the Facebook Live from the QVCUK Facebook page, where Simon sat down for a chat with Kathy after her last show.

Good luck to Katy Pullinger, taking over Wednesday style at 10am each week. She will be a worthy successor, as she is always so stylish. Technically, since I’m 59 on the 10th May (next week) it’s only about another five or six years and I could be doing the same 🙂 … actually, I don’t know if I’ll ever retire though! You know me, I always fill my days!

Podcast

This week, Will sat down with This Works founder Dr. Anna Persaud, and on Monday, you’ll be able to hear his catch up with QVC’s own, Katy Pullinger. You can listen to them all here.

Vlog

This was a lovely video clip sent to me by my wonderful friend Jenny, one evening last week in Devon. Can’t wait to get back there, week commencing 17th – my first retreat in over a year. Very peaceful, very silent. At least I live in the middle of the countryside now in Surrey, too. By the way, don’t forget to follow me on social media for more fabulous clips, photos and posts, plus lots of early warnings about big deals and offers!

Book of the week

After last week’s This Works Today’s Special Value, I found myself listening more to the Why We Sleep book, once again on Audible. It is absolutely fascinating. It’s quite technical and talks about the biology a fair bit. A very close friend is currently in rehab after being an alcoholic, and I think there’s a lot to be said for getting enough sleep, so I’ll be passing on all the tips to them. That and making sure your gut bacteria are all okay. I actually went for a colonic this week, as I felt like I had a little bunged-up tummy, very interesting experience as ever! I won’t get to the bottom of it here, though, ha ha!

I’m seeing Mum, Sis and Sis-in-Laws at the garden centre, seeing Bradley and co. on Sunday, and going for actual lunch on my actual birthday, 10th. But I will be working late afternoon, too…  I know how to live, ha ha.

Best wishes,

Debs
