Spending time with baby Kaleb, massive Elemis deal and sneaky peeks

This week – visiting my baby grandson Kaleb, pictures of some super achievements, and alert – massive Elemis deal already online, on air on Sunday 19th.

Oh my goodness, you’ve got to love a little baby picture, haven’t you?! And while I can’t show you my new little grandson’s face, which is a little bit like my boy when he was a baby, I can show you his feet. Aren’t they cute? Last week I visited and he contentedly fell asleep on my lap for an hour. Then I changed him and he weed all over my hand. Well, at least I stopped the spray going everywhere else, if you know what I mean. 🙂 Bless his little heart. He is a very good baby and has taken to breastfeeding very well, being topped up at night. It makes me very proud of my son Brad and beautiful daughter-in-law Kari.

Blake’s first ballerina dress

Meanwhile his sister, the oldest granddaughter Blake, who is now 3 and 3/4, went to her very first ballet class and absolutely loved dressing up as a ballerina apparently. You can imagine, can’t you?! This is the one that would rather be a fairy or unicorn or a mermaid than wear ordinary clothes, any day of the week! She’s going to be a performer, I’m sure. 🙂

Brad’s pride

Not only is my son proud of his new little boy, but his girl made him glow this week when she brought this new family picture home that she had drawn – specially created after her little brother had arrived. How cute is this! She’s getting very good now at drawing people and I can guess that this one will be going on the wall for quite a while! When Brad was little he was a prolific artist, although as he got a tiny bit older he mainly drew houses and floorplans. Good job he works in building now, isn’t it?! Did any of your family know exactly what they wanted to do as they grew up? I didn’t know really, earlier on. I liked performing, but never thought of it as a serious profession. Little did I know!

It’s only another two weeks and I will be back down in Wales, after my next retreat in Devon, for a very special occasion. Granddaughter number two, Phoebe, has her big 3rd birthday weekend at the beginning of October! Can’t wait.

Snippets

Hourglass

We have a new range of cosmetics coming to QVC, a professional brand, a premium offering, and this was me after June the make-up lady finished using it for my after photograph. It’s called Hourglass, and a lot of people say it’s fabulous! They do a really nice foundation actually, so look out for it.

Clinique

Must also mention that Clinique is due to come to QVC in a week or so. How incredible that we are getting all these big brands. Estee Lauder, Elizabeth Arden, and now Clinique!

Last of the sunshine?

Mum and I spent some time walking round the grounds this week – on our way to feeding my sister’s cats while she is away on holiday for instance. Do you think we have seen the last of the summer sunshine? What a shame if so. But the rain has been pretty heavy lately, hasn’t it? At least I haven’t needed to water the plants much. 🙂 The raspberries are doing amazingly well also! Check out my social media for a video of burgeoning raspberry berries, made all the more luscious by Richard Jackson’s plant food!

Garden party

For the first time in absolutely ages I went to a garden party. I was actually helping out, too, handing out canapes and getting to know people in the Surrey Association that I’ve become a member of since moving back here much of the time. The local MP, Crispin Blunt, was there helping an Afghan family who were in danger and fled their homeland. Very interesting to hear their story. We did a raffle and duck races, it was good fun and nice to meet everybody!

Watch – R.E.S.P.E.C.T – The Aretha Franklin Story

It’s in the cinema and I can’t wait to see it! If anyone’s seen it so far, let me know what you thought. I’ve also seen the ads for the new James Bond movie and I absolutely cannot wait for this one either. Life seems to be getting back a little bit more normality, don’t you think?

Podcast

Did you catch Keeley from Elemis talking to Will last week? This week, he sits down with a returning guest, Alison Cork! You can listen to all the podcasts here.

Vlog

Go here to my Facebook page this week, not only to read all about my night at A & E (it’s all okay now), but also to see a post just above it, with a quick vlog raving about the new Shay & Blue Big Deal. What a great present idea. Buy it while it’s still on special offer. 🙂

Book of the week

I just had to give a big shout out to my lovely colleague Julia Roberts, because her latest book, The Woman on the Beach, reached the Kindle Top 30 chart – in the overall chart – for the UK recently. She presented me with a lovely copy and I’m going to do a competition on my social media. I must highly recommend Julia‘s book, it’s very compelling, made me want to keep reading it, and in my opinion is her best work to date! Catch it while you can.

Meanwhile, I am absolutely gripped by Stephen King’s novel Billy Summers. It’s not a horror, nor even a thriller, it’s kind of a crime with relationships but written so well. It’s no wonder he’s a best seller worldwide. Again highly recommended, and the audiobook is excellent.

Can I just ask, are there going to be Peter Kaiser over the knee boots coming this year, as they are usually a Big Deal in the Autumn?
