Summer sparkles and new fashion

There’s a lot to share in this blog and there’s a real sense of change and new beginnings in the air. Today, I’m sitting in our dining room writing and looking out at the bright golden sun, and although it’s only 7 degrees outside, it looks like more!

The flowers are in bloom and suddenly I can see how summer could look here, which leads me to mention my new discoveries from Liz Earle – their new Environmental Defence Cream SPF 25 and the Multipurpose Beauty Balm. Both are a must-have, especially if you’re prone to dry or sensitive skin like me. More on that later.

I also want to tell you about Diamonique day this Friday, April 16th, and some pretty summery pieces from Dannii Minogue. And of course, I’ll be sharing some new pictures of the not-so-little Beau Fox.

Let’s start with the fun fashion stuff.

You probably know that Dannii Minogue launched her new range, Dannii Minogue Petites, recently. The range focuses on women who are 5’3” and under. But if you’re taller, don’t worry, as there are regular sizes too. I’m 5’5″ and I’m right in the middle, as I fit the petite range on top and regular on the bottom, so you can be both.

Earlier this week, I had a wonderful show with Dannii and we brought you some new pieces. I love the new Summer of Love T-shirt. It’s a great fit and feels so soft. The retro design makes it a perfect tee to add personality and style to jeans and skirts. The skirt is so beautiful too and has a wonderful swing and flow. For those of you who like a bomber jacket, then look no further, as this bomber is the one. It has been beautifully designed and has a suburb silk-feel lining, which feels wonderful next to your skin.

Here are a few pictures of some of my new favourite summery combos.

In these pictures, I’d also just been to get my hair done for the first time in goodness knows how many months. I was thrilled to have it cut and coloured, especially after the mess I made of it myself (see my Instagram videos!)

Next up, the Diamonique event.

This is going to be such a wonderful event with beautiful designs and lots of Easy Pay  interest-free instalments. The event launches on Thursday 11th at 9pm and will continue through all of Friday 12th. I will have two hours from 9am – 11am with some wonderful new pieces.

There is a real trend towards platinum and looking at layering and stacking necklaces and rings. We have a new Platinum show, which will launching at 5pm on Friday. I’m loving the feel of high-end designer platinum and diamonds at sterling silver and Diamonique prices with the Diamonique platinum-plated collection.

Here are a few of the pieces coming up in my show with fabulous jewellery expert Hannah Clemmow. I think you’ll love them. Click on the item numbers to take a look for yourself.

  • Open heart pendant & chain in sterling silver – 345249
  • New in: mixed-cut stacking rings in sterling silver – 346343. I absolutely love this set. Stacking is one of my favourite ways to wear rings.
  • New in: facet leverback earrings in sterling silver – 346273

I hope you can join us at 9am on Friday morning. Don’t forget that Dannii has teamed up with Diamonique too. This photo gives you an idea of the brand and her designs.

My new skincare discoveries from Liz EarleEnvironmental Defence Cream SPF 25 and Multipurpose Beauty Balm. These only launched this week at QVC. Liz Earle is also celebrating 25 years at QVC too, which is wonderful.

The cream is formulated with natural ingredients (as you’d expect from Liz Earle) such as blueberry seed oil, Shea butter and British borage seed oil, giving you hydration and smoother, healthier-looking skin.

Did you know?

Both chemical and mineral UV filters protect your skin from the sun and its damaging effects, but in different ways. Chemical SPF formulas help to provide protection by sinking into skin where they act like a sponge to absorb the UV rays via a chemical reaction. Mineral SPF formulas work like mirrors on the surface of skin, reflecting away UV rays. Because they don’t absorb into pores like chemical formulas, this option is more suitable for sensitive skin. That’s why Liz Earle chose to create a mineral formulation, to offer everyday protection for all skin types.

The Environmental Defence Cream SPF 25 is also non-comedogenic, which means it has been developed specifically so it won’t block your pores. I love how easily it absorbs and leaves you skin looking dewy fresh but not oily. Plus, the SPF is perfect for this bright sun.

The Multipurpose Beauty Balm is a must-have in your handbag, beside your bed, in your kitchen! It helps soften and protect skin from dryness. Its formula is enriched with shea butter, renowned as an excellent emollient, as well as a trio of oils: olive fruit, jojoba and sweet almond, carefully selected for their moisturising properties.

I can’t stop using mine. It’s so soothing and feels lightweight on your lips. I get really dry hands and have found it’s helped my cuticles out no end. There’s a brilliant Big Deal on at the moment from Liz Earle too. Get yours here.

I promised you a few little Beau updates. Here are a few snaps from Easter. He did his first Easter egg hunt and loved it. He quickly  got the idea that finding the shiny eggs meant that you can eat them too! He is beginning to speak much more now too and calls me Nana, ha ha. I think it’s because he can’t pronounce M yet. He really is such a sweetheart and so affectionate. He always gives us a kiss and says cuddle, which melts our hearts.

We went down to Southbourne beach and went for a walk that weekend too. It’s so beautiful there and the sea air is so invigorating!

I hope you’re all keeping well and sending you my love.

Eilidh xx
