Lots of cake and a very Cozee Home

Hi,

Ooh, that autumn feeling is in the air! We haven’t put the central heating on at home yet but as I write this I’m in a long sleeved sweatshirt and just thinking about putting the Dyson heater on for a little blast of warmth…it’s nippy!

My running is still keeping me warm though…I’m heading for 800 miles run now in my 1,000 miles charity challenge, and I had so much wedding/anniversary stuff going on in my last blog that I forgot to tell you about my latest, rather fun, event. It was a 16-miler at The Great British Bake Run, an annual race that coincides with the return of The Great British Bake Off on our tellies (I LOVE that show!).

It’s a fabulous combination of a run and a cake competition and there were some brilliant entries, which we then got to eat! Rather obviously I didn’t enter a cake (anyone who knows me knows the kitchen is not my natural habitat) although I discovered there was a category for “worst cake” which would have suited me rather well…

Anyway it was a most enjoyable day and the end of the challenge is now in sight. Next up, another marathon!

Back to staying warm at home and this Wednesday 18th is Home Day on QVC, showcasing some of the biggest and best brands to help you breathe new life into every room in your house for the new season. It will feature a Today’s Special Value offer from the brand which brings us the cosiest winter bedding around in my view – Cozee Home.

It’s a four piece duvet set in their fantastic faux mink fabric (just heavenly to sleep in, so soft and snuggly but still breathable), and will be in a “tufted spot” design. There’s a choice of five colours: Grey, Rose Smoke, Navy, Shiraz Wine and Seafoam. This bedding is so practical too, machine washable at 30 degrees and needing no ironing. Do give it a go if you get cold at night in the winter, and do look at the reviews for other Cozee Home duvet sets on the QVC website – this range is much loved.

And here are a few other things that will feature on Home Day which have caught my eye:

The Cozee Home pack of three velvetsoft throws – such lovely colours and such great value.

The Silentnight dual layer deep mattress topper – like sleeping on a giant fluffy marshmallow!

And (back to Cozee Home) the scrumptious heated Sherpa lined bedspread which has nine heat settings and is still machine washable, amazing!

Finally I’m very much looking forward to joining my buddy Ruth Langsford not only for her Fashion Edit show at 8pm on Thursday this week, but also again at 9pm on Friday to launch her latest Today’s Special Value offer! It’s an animal print tunic (we both love animal print so hurrah!) with a lovely zip detail at the back.

There’ll be a choice of Natural, Grey, Khaki, Blue or Berry and the fabric is a cotton/viscose mix so very easy care. It’s a great transitional piece that will work hard in your wardrobe and we are excited to show it to you!

“See” you during the week I hope!

Love Jackie x
