Hi Julia,

I am the same age as you. I fell
last week and fractured my wrist and I remembered in a previous blog that you did the same a couple of years ago. I
admire your positive attitude to everything and you look great! I still went off to Prague with a cast on my wrist for my daughter’s 40th birthday celebration and my daughters looked after me very well.

Hi Julia ,I know what you mean it’s so sad on Father’s day . I lost my lovely Dad February 2021 aged 92 . He had been bed ridden for over 2 years . But we have to celebrate that we had our Dad’s to love .
Always like watching when you are on with fashion as you give real honest views. I too will be 66 in August, can’t believe it’s state pension time !

Hello Julia,
I hope you had a lovely Birthday, i love going out for dinner with family although my son lives nearer to Somerset now so a bit of a journey. I hope Quin had a few nibbles. !
I’m 66 in August i will be taking my State Pension , but i do agree with you deferring it till you retire “officially”, with you still working Tax comes into it especially if you have P/P’s. I do think it increases as well. I do work but Privately so it won’t effect me or my P/ P with Tax.
I do hope your Brain Scan goes well, i’m sure it will. I had the results back from my Bone Density Scan , it appears i just passed the barrier for good bones, so i have to have an infusion once a year and have supplements for Vitamin D although the consultant laughed and said looks like you love the natural Vitamin D in the sun, being very tanned. So waiting for a date now.
We were going to our Cyprus home this month ( June ) but, our friends who were renting it wanted to change dates so we are now going in July and they are over in Cyprus now. Just paid to change names on flight tickets. We fly from Bournemouth touch wood no problems there to date. We have also booked a Holiday to St Lucia for next March into April, Ian is planning to take early retirement at the end of the year so a little celebration in the sun. We also have the Rocking Chair, really love it , i hope they get them back as my son wants one.
I did think of you when i heard on the news about Polio in London area, then i thought back to your comment in a previous blog when you were having treatment. 🙁
Did you have bare feet on your wedding day ? I plan to for our vow renewal when we are in Mauritius later in the year. I have my dress already, i’m still loosing weight so might have to have it taken in as i’m not at my target yet.
Well i’m babbling on again sorry.
Have a great weekend, Ian working of course, i will sorting out some clothes for July Holiday.

Lovely family memories, Julia – so glad you had such a happy birthday. You’ve joined the pension club now … it hasn’t made any difference to the way I feel since I joined, a year ago!
I only lost my dear Dad in April this year, so this was the first Fathers’ Day without him. So hard – but so many happy memories. xxxx
