Hi everyone, thanks for dropping by to see what I’ve been getting up to. Last week I was lucky enough to take a little mini get away with some friends. It was a belated treat for my friend Rhiannon to celebrate her 40th Birthday. We headed to Oxfordshire to go and stay at the most incredible Soho Farm House.
It’s actually a member’s club but because of being friends of a member we were able to get a sneaky little night away there and boy was it worth it. It is the most serene and beautiful place to relax, with spa and gorgeous restaurants. We spent the day enjoying the gym and steam rooms and later checked into one of the ‘piglets’ which are the garden rooms that look like little bunkers in the fields. They are beautiful decorated and outside you find wellies for muddy walks and bikes for your stay to get around on.
I haven’t had a night away from Fred and the kids just for fun in years so it was a real treat to be able to just chill out for a night and enjoy time with friends and good food, we had Japanese that evening and chilli cocktails in the bar. The next day we got up in time for the morning yoga class followed by a gorgeous brunch and walked around the grounds to visit the pigmy goats that they keep there who are as friendly has little doggies and come running up to be petted and cuddled, sooooo cute.
What I wore
While I was there I wore mostly my Gok Wan WULI:LUU funnel neck kimono sleeve sweater. It was the perfect laid-back style for this type of break away and can cross from being really smart with a pair of wide leg black trousers which I wore but also the perfect cover-up for after our yoga class.
To stay warm I had my favourite Rino & Pelle Longline Faux Fur Coat . I bought this last winter and we have more stock of it now, I think it’s important to bring you pieces that I have had a long time and also use a lot so I will be trying to bring you items that I have posted about before just to show the value in cost per wear that you will get season after season with. I recently saw personality and reality TV judge Michelle Visage wearing one almost identical to mine which she posted on her Instagram, so I feel in good company.
What I wore on air
Yesterday I had a fab show with one of my favourite people to work with, fashion editor Ashling McCloy. It was an outlet show so everything was on at great Clearance prices. Ashling and I both embraced the tartan trend and wore tartan skirts. The one Ashling is wearing has sadly sold out, but mine is from Derhy and is reduced significantly. The jumper I am wearing isn’t in clearance but it’s still a great piece from Monsoon called the Mali Knit jumper.

Second up, the It Cosmetics Limited Edition It Girl Beauty Book. I had a fab show with the It Cosmetics Team this week and I completely loved this beauty product and have ordered it myself. It comes ready wrapped in a silver box complete with bow and tag which reads ‘Because of You The World is More Beautiful’.
It’s of course what’s inside that counts though! A beautiful book of make-up to be able to create an almost full face. Eyeshadows, ombre blusher, lip colour, brows, concealer, Bye Bye Pores pressed powder and more. It’s definitely got the wow factor as you unwrap and unfold the beautiful beauty book and will be met with squeals of delight I’m sure.
Lastly, unless you have been living under a rock you will know that the Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer has already launched online as our Today’s Special Value and I for one am very excited as I have ordered mine!! Like many of you I have been on the fence on whether or not I am ready to part with the money for a Dyson Supersonic. I’ve never doubted how good it is as I’ve used it lots at work and even been loaned one by QVC before (no we don’t just get given these things for free!)
