We’re moving

Boy, what a difference a week makes! So last week you may have read we were having a pretty stressful time of it trying to get our house move sorted. Well, boy have things turned around this week. At the very last minute, and I’m talking up to the wire, we managed to get all our ducks in a row and make it all happen. Not only that but it will be in time for the end of the stamp duty holiday. I can’t tell you what a relief it is. It’s all action stations now as we have 5 days to pack up and get moved next Wednesday!!!

Incredibly we found a mover at this short notice who had a cancellation and Fred and I jumped into action and got boxes sorted, tape, bubble wrap, packing paper you name it we’ve got it. Thank goodness I’ve been doing lots of clearing and sorting in preparation for this, just in case. My mum is coming down to help too as I have to work this weekend so I will be doing my shows and then getting back asap to carry on packing.

I will still also be doing my ‘Morning Style with Katy’ show next Wednesday too so that will be an interesting morning. Fred will be on duty to manage the movers and I will hopefully get back in time to say goodbye to the house and get rolling. So, wish us luck, I will let you know how we get on next blog!

Today’s Special Value – Ninja 7.6l Dual Zone Air Fryer

This week I got to put the Ninja Foodi Dual Zone Air Fryer to the test. Some of you will have been expecting this Today’s Special Value this week but it had to be moved to a later date. It will now launch on the pre-sell launch at 9pm on the 28th and all day, while stocks last, on the 29th.

So what’s so great about this fryer you may ask? Well, for starters it has a fantastic 7.6l capacity. It’s up to 75% faster than fan ovens and you can cook with up to 75% less fat than traditional frying methods. It has two cooking zones so you can have different things cooking at different times on different settings. Perfect when cooking times vary for meat and vegetables. Equally great if you have different diets to consider and you need to keep things separate.

I kept things simple and whipped up some homemade potato wedges, these are really simple and quick and a great alternative to oven chips. I simply cut Maris Piper potatoes into wedges and tossed them in a drizzle of olive oil and then sprinkled them with a mix of paprika and garlic granules. A sprinkle of salt and then into the Ninja for 20 mins, I set it to Max Crisp.

I then put the goujons into the second compartment and set them to bake for 20 mins. Job done, kids dinner turned around in 20 minutes, (plus a few minutes to prep the potatoes). I can see this being a real game-changer for anyone with a busy family life but also for anyone who wants to reduce the amount of fat they are using and enjoy really good and quick meals.

I have done a video of it over on my Instagram which you can watch by clicking here.

Today’s Special Value – OPI 6 Piece Anniversary Nail Envy Collection – 30th June

Calling all Nail Envy fans! This is an incredible collection from OPI with their hero product brought to us in a beautiful anniversary box. We are not just celebrating 40 years of OPI but 25 Years on QVC, their Silver anniversary hence the silver box.

Inside you will receive 6 beautiful bottles of Nail Envy with limited edition glitter wrapped lids. Original and Matte finish formulas then the colours of ‘Bubble Bath’, ‘Hawaiian Orchid’, ‘Pink with Envy’ and ‘Samoan Sand’.

Nail Envy is a favourite for so many who need that extra help and strength on their nails. I count myself in that group. I get very flaky nails but also I do like to get gels done but when I have them removed my nails are weak so I go to Nail Envy. You may have spotted me on air with a lovely soft pinky colour, that’s Hawaiian Orchid.

That’s it from me this week, as you can imagine I need to crack on with packing! I’ll see you on the other side.

Lots of love

Katy xx

  3. Hi Katy, pleased that your move has come together. We have been in a similar situation, one minute it looked like things were at a standstill and the next minute it was all systems go and we now move on Tuesday in time for the stamp duty holiday which is a big bonus. It has been incredibly stressful and very hard to pack up all our belongings in the house we have lived in for 20 years. I have a mix of emotions as I am sure you do too, don’t want to do it again in a hurry! All the best, I hope you and your family are happy in your new home.

  4. Katy you are looking very glamorous to day on the gardening program, is it make up or have you got a tanning product on
