My heart bleeds for you with the insurance malarkey. Honestly I sometimes wonder why we actually PAY for it as they companies appear totally inept when you need them. I had an insurance claim for a kitchen floor a few years ago and it was a NIGHTMARE 😱😱. Reading about your blog that you are still not back in your home after 10 weeks is just awful!! every thing takes far too long getting anything sorted out!

If you are interested… and do not mind catching the train to London… We own a 3 bed detached house in the peaceful countryside of Milton Keynes ( not the City) that we keep only for Family to stay in, but at the present our Family is not travelling!!

We had a not dissimilar disaster throughout our home last September. We did actually manage to stay there, living in one room at a time – insurance company did offer to move us out, but we decided to stay put. Not sure that it was the best idea, though. Everything took so long. We were nearly seven months before everything was done and new carpets were finally laid. Back to normal at last. I hope you find somewhere to rent and they get started on your work very soon. Stay safe and well and lots of love. xxx
