Fashion Event, Sleeptember & Doll 10…squad!

A big warm hello!

Big news, we have an exciting Fashion Event on 20th September featuring many amazing brands with offers, style tips and inspiration!

One of the stars of the event is our Centigrade velvet puffer faux down gillet, which is perfect as the weather is so confusing. The gorgeous, stylish versatile gilet is great to take us through the seasons, which let’s be honest we can go through most seasons in one day with our British weather.

I played dress-up with our amazing stylist Stein and I tried the black gilet for an evening look, kitted out in my favourite Ruth Langsford faux leather pencil skirt and heart jumper. It was a great stylish laying piece to add to the sleek outfit and on my feet, the gorgeous Dune suede heeled ankle boot.

I also love the green which I wore with my trusted White Stuff jeggings and Hobbs top for a more laid-back look.

It was lovely to be part of Sleeptember, the annual event run by The Sleep Council which raises awareness of the importance of sleep. It’s amazing what I learnt from presenting the show and listening to our amazing guests.

It really made me think about how much effort I put into the style and fabrics I wear, but not what I sleep on. It’s so important we rest well, and we looked at so many wonderful items to help us create that sanctuary in our homes and bedrooms.

The Northern Nights featherbed felt so incredible, it was super soft and forms to the shape of your body. It’s a beautiful, natural, breathable featherbed with no quills. A perfect way to revamp an old mattress or protect a new one with such comfort.

I kept giving our cameraman extra work as I kept sitting on it whenever I could haha. I also loved the Tempur Comfort Cloud Pillow. Everyone should have one of these! I love the fact they were first created by NASA in the 70s to cushion and support astronauts. If they’re good enough for astronauts shooting off into space imagine the comfort for us just sleeping and resting on.

I officially became part of the #Dollsquad! It was the stuff my dreams are made of to present Doll 10 make up with Jordaan Walker and the creator herself Doris Dalton from America. I love positive words and affirmations so it’s no surprise that I fell in love with the 8 Piece Speak Your Truth Lip Crayon Collection & Tin.

Each lip crayon has a positive message written at the base – I’m brave, I’m confident, I’m smart, I’m beautiful, I’m enough, I’m worthy, I’m kind, I’m strong.

The colours are gorgeous, and the lip crayons are super hydrating. I’m not so confident wearing bright colours on my lips but decided to go for ‘I’m brave’ – a rose pink I’d never usually wear but it was so empowering!
