I just wanted to take a few minutes to extend my Christmas wishes to you and yours, however you will be celebrating and however much your plans have changed. I think it will be different for most, if not all of us this year, but I hope you will still be able to make the most of the situation we find ourselves in.

I feel very fortunate that we have our son, Dan and his girlfriend, Katie living with us so we will be able to enjoy the day together – really looking forward to the nut wellington that Katie is making for Christmas lunch, and the various cocktails she will no doubt be plying me with!

Unfortunately, we won’t be seeing our daughter, Sophie and her family in ‘real’ life, but we are intending to FaceTime a couple of times in the day. We are also planning on doing that with my mum. This photo was taken last Christmas when both Mum and Audrey, my mum in law, came to stay… we’d long since decided on that not being the best option for this year, but are planning a get-together later in the year when things have calmed down a bit.

""

Although I’m not in on the Christmas shift this year (New Year instead) I will be popping up on your screens over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in shows that we have pre-recorded, so hopefully that might keep you entertained whether or not you are shopping… although we do have some great offers.

If telly is not your thing but you like reading, and your not feeling particularly festive with the weather mild and wet rather than snowy, you could escape with my heartwarming Christmas novella, Christmas at Carol’s – it’s only an ebook though – and at the moment I’ve made the sequel free to download, but only until the 27th. It might help you pass a few hours if you’ve unexpectedly found yourself on your own.
