We have had some beautiful sunny days, haven’t we?! This was on one of my lovely walks this week, as I had 11 days off for annual leave, 🙂 and it has been gorgeous! I’ve really enjoyed having enough time to sit and soak up the (winter) sunshine and relax during the day, get lots of jobs done and also entertain my little three-year-old granddaughter Blake. We all need to take a breather sometimes, don’t we?!

I also made sure that I had as many different vegetables as possible. I’m doing a kind of a “30 different vegetables a week” challenge! This dinner helped though. It’s what I was greeted with when I got home on Sunday night! Some from my brother and some from my sister, and lots of different types of veg. Lucky me! 🙂 I could eat that all again right now. 🙂 I do like it when they send me meals on wheels ha ha.

""

Blake came to stay, and we did our usual walks, played numbers, letters, jewellery, make-up, watched Prince Caspian, and by the end of two days I was thoroughly whacked out! More from Blake’s little mini break with me next week, and of course while she was here, we had a lovely chat with my second granddaughter – Phoebe.

""

Snippets

Phoebe’s so growd up

""

Here she is, looking behind her on the stairs at their place. My beautiful little two and a half-year-old granddaughter who lives in Wales, and whom I miss so much, sent me a couple of videos this week. (Well… Lauren did). She said things like, “I want to spend the whole day with you Nan Nan,” and “I’m going to bed now, Nan Nan”. Bless her little heart. Roll on the day I can go and see her. It’s getting closer and closer!

Easter card

""

Got an early Easter card from my lovely friend Dawn Robinson, who never fails to send lovely little treats. Thanks Dawn, lovely lady! Plus, what a nice gift from the Liz Earle team, as they celebrate 25 years on QVC. Monogrammed cloths! I shan’t want to use it, rather keep it safe and sound. Check out the Liz Earle range, there is a huge amount on offer this week and some special shows to celebrate – including event prices.

Marie-Francoise has had a girl!

""

How lovely! Our Kipling guest posted this on social media this week, all about her new arrival. Just look at Mia’s face, so happy! Quite a whopper again, but then MF was huge, wasn’t she? If you remember her bump on some of the pics recently! Congratulations to the lovely family. Whilst she is off, Lucy Piper is brand ambassador for Kipling bags, we did a show last week and there were some incredible deals, I even ordered one myself as my new one. You can see some of the deals here.

Other bits

Just wanted to say how pleased and proud I have been to be a volunteer for the vaccination program in the UK, especially as we passed 30 million vaccines delivered across the UK last week. There was no outing for me as some of the sessions were cancelled because of lower supplies, but hopefully next week. Hope you got yours okay!

Stefano

Plus, just a quick moment to remember Stefano Marescotti, our previous Magniflex guest. He passed away this week sadly and we are all respecting the privacy of his family and friends. You may have seen a mention on social media and I just wanted to say what a nice guy he was and how much we all remember him. RIP Stefano.

Podcast

This week, as a start to The Garden Escape series, Will is joined by Michael Perry as they sit down to chat with Richard Jackson and Joe Smith from Grumpy Gardener. Next week, Michael joins Will again for a focus on brands Plants2Gardens and Auraglow. You can listen to all the podcasts here.

Watch – Grace & Frankie!

I’ve discovered Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin and this hilarious older life woes show. I’m just loving it. Their husbands turn out to have been having an affair for 20 years, leaving the two old women on their own. Lily Tomlin is a hippy dippy adoptive mother, and Jane is a prissy ex-business woman and a mother of two hilarious daughters. For some reason, it reminds me of Cougar Town, Friends, and several others. I’m already 12 episodes in, Netflix keeps asking me if I’m still watching Grace & Frankie. 🙂 I’ve been using my time off well ha ha. Highly recommended! Glad Netflix has several series. 🙂

Sometimes, you’ve just got to moonwalk!
