We can almost take it for granted when we drift off effortlessly to that beautiful place of slumber… but boy, do we know all about it when, for whatever reason, we don\u2019t get the amount of sleep we need. It can have such an impact on so many areas of our lives, from our work, to our emotions and even our relationships. Of course, one of the challenges as we ladies get older is not only having a good night’s sleep, but a ‘cool’ night’s sleep too! An issue not just confined to the summer months or warmer climates, I have indeed struggled many times in the past with this myself. To help me in this area, I have my own personal \u201ctop trio\u201d for staying cool at night:<\/p>\n

Cozee Home Supersoft Bedding<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

I have always been a huge fan of the wonderful Cozee Home<\/strong><\/a> range keeping me warm in the colder months (particularly the Velvetsoft), but it\u2019s only been just over a year ago since I tried the Supersoft range. My goodness, I wasn\u2019t disappointed! Even without any sleep issues, this fabric feels so amazing next to the skin. It is simply just the best feeling ever slipping underneath the duvet into this incredibly cool, luxurious bedding at the end of the day.<\/p>\n

Neom Sleep Pillow Spray<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

I also liberally spray the Neom<\/strong><\/a> Sleep Pillow Spray over the top of the sheets as well, as the pillows, about 20 minutes or so before going to bed, while I take my make-up off etc. I find that this really helps me to relax and unwind from any stresses of the day.<\/p>\n

Meaco Fan<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

There are times that if I\u2019m particularly struggling with ‘warmer’ moments, I will then reach for my Meaco<\/strong><\/a> Fan. This has been one of my all-time favourite purchases from QVC. Apart from getting and keeping the room at just the right temperature very quickly, it does so incredibly quietly too. I have had other fans in the past that more than do the job in keeping you cool but they end up keeping you, your other half, or both of you awake most of the night. That kind of defeats the object, don\u2019t you think?<\/p>\n\"\"\n

Finally, a life long habit for me is sleeping with the bedroom window open just a tad. There\u2019s also a bit of a ritual involved in me staying cool and getting a good night’s sleep. It\u2019s not only about the quality of your bedding etc, but I would also recommend having an hour or so ‘screen-free’ time prior to hitting the hay, as they say. That\u2019s all screens… TV, tablets and phones! Personally, this helps me unwind mentally too.<\/p>\n

Of course, it goes without saying, that we need to remember to be spending the right amount of time in bed too. Different for everyone I know, but for me it\u2019s a good seven to eight hours. Doesn\u2019t always happen… but still, I can dream… can\u2019t I? (Pun very much intended! \ud83d\ude42 )<\/p>\n
