It’s bulb planting season! I have to admit that this is the first year that I am properly preparing spring bulbs. I don’t think I have ever done it before! I am going for it this year though ready for next spring. I have Tulip Gudoshnik from Plants2Gardens, a huge mix of Alliums from Hayloft (from the Today’s Special Value a while back but still available) and the prettiest white and peach Daffodils from Thompson & Morgan.

All are still available to buy if you would like to give them a try too. I am trying to decide how to plant them to get the best of all of them. I can’t decide whether to make them quite random or be really considered and have them in neat rows. I guess you’ll have to wait until next spring to find out what I did! I have some really pretty features in our new garden so I am looking forward to filling it with colour next year.

This week saw the final ‘Morning Style with Katy’ of the year before we break for the winter! Did you manage to watch? We had a great line-up of new pieces and lots of you treated yourself to the beautiful mustard Helene Berman Coat that I am wearing here. I love this colour for autumn, it’s still such a lovely bright colour but so in-keeping with the browns, oranges and yellows of the season. It has 70% wool and 10% cashmere and you can instantly feel the quality, it’s an investment piece that you will keep forever. I can’t wait to wear mine out and about immediately!

""

The dress is Monsoon and last time I checked there were a few left in size XL. I’m sorry that we have to take a break from the show as I have enjoyed it immensely so far, particularly hearing from all of you about the items that you have treated yourself to.

I have most enjoyed the pictures you have sent in for the ‘Your Style’ segment of the show. It’s wonderful to see the faces of you at home so I get an idea of who I’m talking too, I am hoping we can make it even more interactive next year. May be even video calls! Watch this space. There will be plenty of fashion coming up on air over the next few months and as always you can keep up with my fashion posts here on the blog and on my Instagram.

Beauty Spot – Molton Brown Today’s Special Value

I’ve got a number of beauty treats to tell you about this week. First of all, it’s the big one from Molton Brown! The Christmas Today’s Special Value!!! It’s a really good one this year too as it’s really geared up for gifting. It’s an 11-Piece collection and includes two gift boxes and a gift bag. You have a choice to make between Floral and Fresh, which is the tough bit. Perhaps you’ll get them both! The floral contains some of my favourites, Jasmine & Sun Rose and Rhubarb and Rose so it would most likely be my choice.

""

I love the breakdown of what you get as they really do work for gifting. The 30ml bottles all fit perfectly in one of the boxes and make a really nice treat for a friend or even a teacher’s gift. I would give the larger bottles to my sister/aunts or mum etc either as a three or split them. I would perhaps keep the hand washes for myself. Who knows, so many ways to split it! What will you go for? This will be on air this Sunday but is already available on Pre-Sell so get yours before they’re gone. Here’s everything you will get in each option.
