Had a lovely supper out after work one evening with my good pal Emma from Imedeen and put the world to rights. Mostly, we were talking about relationships. I describe some of the waste of time relationships I’ve had in the last 20 years, including several in the “what was I thinking” category! I explained that post-menopause I’m really not bothered about the usual reasons as to why you want a relationship, and Emma said “well, no one will come along if you’re not trying to find someone.” But actually, I believe that if it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be, and something will happen regardless. My old colleague Carmel for instance, met her man at a cashpoint while they were both queueing for money! What’s the most unusual instance you’ve heard of?

The only thing is, as I approach 60 next year and I’m thinking about going on a big cruise possibly the year after, it would be lovely to go around the world with somebody, rather than as the gooseberry accompanied by two couples. That would mean I would need to find someone pretty soon! But it’s the word “find”, that I don’t like. So I just go to supper with my friends instead! And see my grandchildren.

Baby time

""

Had the most wonderful time last weekend as my son brought his family over to see me and cousin Evie came to play as well. She and Blake play so perfectly, it’s marvelous, and that left me lots of time for cuddles with little Kaleb. He is filling out now for sure! I managed to get a couple of videos of him with a big beaming smile on his face and he is becoming much more knowing, as they do when they pass the six week mark. So lovely to spend time with the grandchildren, isn’t it? Hopefully they enjoy being with me as well. 🙂 I know Blake does as she dresses up in some wonderful outfits! Just wish they did them in adult sizes ha ha. (Scratch that, they probably do, don’t send me any links.) 🙂

Finished it Friday

""

This week it’s my Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser! Yet another one finished. What have you finished lately that you’ve loved and will re-buy?

How wonderful then that this cleanser, which I have used more or less since it launched during the earliest days of QVC (around 27 years now), has a new Today’s Special Value this Sunday. I’m lucky enough to have the midnight hour and a show the next day, unless things change. A massive mega bundle for Christmas, with huge savings, and a new fragrance featuring vetiver. As mentioned, I’ve used this for donkey’s years, mainly because it suits my skin so well. It removes all of my ‘telly tart make-up’ easily, tackles difficult things like waterproof mascara et cetera and with the exfoliation part of the hot cloth polish, removing it leaves my skin so soft. In this set there is the new fragrance Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, as well as the original in a smaller size. Can’t wait to bring it to you in its very pretty presentation box. Don’t miss it!
