Granted, the first present I&#8217;ve bought is for Wilfie, our black cat, but I was so impressed with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qvcuk.com\/Hands-On-Pet-Grooming-Gloves.product.515940.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pet Gloves<\/a> I was presenting on air last weekend that I have bought him a pair for Christmas. He&#8217;s a funny little chap as he quite happily allows me to stick my finger in his mouth every morning to brush his teeth but he doesn&#8217;t really enjoy having his coat brushed&#8230; after a couple of strokes he starts biting the brush. In the summer months when he is shedding he is often sick after cleaning himself, so I am hoping these will at least reduce that.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.qvcuk.com\/Hands-On-Pet-Grooming-Gloves.product.515940.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-89613 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.qvcuk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/515940e.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"795\" height=\"530\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stories.qvcuk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/515940e.jpg 795w, https:\/\/stories.qvcuk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/515940e-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/stories.qvcuk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/515940e-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/stories.qvcuk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/515940e-450x300.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 795px) 100vw, 795px\" \/><\/a>I also treated myself this week to a new hat and glove set from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qvcuk.com\/muk-luk's\/shoes-&amp;-handbags\/_\/N-1z13x77Zlfpk\/c.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Muk Luks<\/a>. I&#8217;ve had my quirky owl hat for years and although I love it, it doesn&#8217;t actually keep my head very warm so&#8230; I&#8217;ve gone <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qvcuk.com\/Muk-Luks-Novelty-Christmas-Hat-and-Gloves-Set.product.179818.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">penguin<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.qvcuk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/last-one1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-89610 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.qvcuk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/last-one1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"795\" height=\"530\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stories.qvcuk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/last-one1.jpg 795w, https:\/\/stories.qvcuk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/last-one1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/stories.qvcuk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/last-one1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/stories.qvcuk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/last-one1-450x300.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 795px) 100vw, 795px\" \/><\/a>Muk Luks have some fabulous socks sets too, ideal if you have hard floors at home rather than cosy carpets &#8211; check out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qvcuk.com\/catalog\/search.html?keyword=muk+luks+socks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the range<\/a> on our website.<\/p>\n<p>If you need a bit of warming up from the inside out, here is my soup recipe:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Peanut Butter Soup<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Serves: 4 \u2013 6 people<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 onion finely chopped<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon olive oil<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon marmite<\/li>\n<li>1 vegetable stock cube<\/li>\n<li>2 \u2018generous\u2019 tablespoons tomato puree<\/li>\n<li>Half a 454grm jar crunchy peanut butter<\/li>\n<li>1 litre boiling water<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are two methods depending on the consistency required. Either;<\/p>\n<p>Soften the onion in the olive oil for five minutes over a low heat, while placing all other ingredients in a jug blender (we have a new one coming to QVC in a couple of weeks called Blendtec, so keep your eyes peeled). Add the onion and blitz for a couple of minutes to give a very smooth soup.<\/p>\n<p>Or;<\/p>\n<p>Soften onion as above. Crumble stock cube into boiling water and add marmite and tomato puree. Add a small amount of liquid, about a quarter, to the pan with the onion then add the peanut butter and stir until mixed in. Add the rest of the liquid and bring to the boil, then turn off heat and blend with a hand blender. This takes a bit longer but keeps a bit more texture to the soup. The soup should be orange in colour, a bit like Cream of Tomato soup \u2013 if it\u2019s not, add more tomato puree and blend for a further 30 seconds.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-89611 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.qvcuk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/soup-header1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"795\" height=\"530\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stories.qvcuk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/soup-header1.jpg 795w, https:\/\/stories.qvcuk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/soup-header1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/stories.qvcuk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/soup-header1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/stories.qvcuk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/soup-header1-450x300.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 795px) 100vw, 795px\" \/>Do let me know what you think if you make it.<\/p>\n<p>I also had some lovely feedback for my books among your comments on last week&#8217;s blog. I&#8217;ve been using the warm option which has the Shea Shower Oil in a half litre size, Shea Ultra-Rich Hand Wash, also half a litre and a 150ml Shea Hand Cream in limited edition packaging and separately boxed.
