Back in June when we launched our Menopause Your Way initiative, we spoke about how QVC is exploring ways to make life a little easier for employees going through perimenopause and menopause. We know that menopause can present often tough challenges while working (both at home and in the office), so it’s really important to us that we provide the resources our teams need.
We are delighted to share that QVC UK has been named as a finalist in two categories of the worlds’ first ever menopause friendly employer awards, and we’re really proud to be acknowledged as an inclusive employer.
Organised by Menopause Friendly and supported by the CIPD, the awards celebrate employers who have gone above and beyond in their quest to be ‘menopause friendly’. The inaugural Menopause Friendly Employer Awards attracted over 85 entries across 10 categories.
Rachael Egerton, QVC UK People Lead, said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted in the first ever menopause awards for a topic that is so close to our hearts. We are committed to understanding how the menopause can affect team members and it is great to see our inspirational and pioneering work recognised externally. Well done to Tracey Cuckson for her thoroughly deserved community award nomination for her passionate work, as part of our Gender Equality @Q Team Member Resource Group, to help break down the taboo around menopause.”
Deborah Garlick, CEO of Henpicked: Menopause in The Workplace said: “The standard of work and level of activity demonstrated by entrants to the first-ever Menopause Friendly Employer Awards has been really high. QVC UK impressed the judges with its ability to engage its workforce on the topic of menopause while Tracey is clearly excelling as a champion for menopause among her colleagues. Well done to everyone involved in making such a difference.”
