Don’t worry about the elbows. I dislocated and broke mine 40 years ago. The physio and exercises are very important, I cannot straighten said arm completely, but it has never held me back or stopped me from doing anything.

Hi Alex,
You’ve had a terrible time recently and it’s scary for you when the kids are so young and growing. I hope eventually the elbows mend and there’s no lasting damage. How lovely you got away but a shame about the hospital! Hope the kids stay in school but really it’s such a challenge!
