I’m simply lost for words. That’s a 19 hour shift. I’m utterly astounded. You must be so proud of your daughter. I feel so humbled by such incredible people and all that they do for the rest of us. Do please send my warmest wishes and biggest thanks to your daughter.

Thank you, Charlie. My daughter is a doctor at a London Hospital and has had the busiest two years of her life. I have been able to see, first hand, how relentless their schedule is and how hard they all work. On one particular day, very recently, her shift started at 7.30 am and, due to circumstances, she didn’t clock off until 2.30 am the following morning! I hope you are recovering and your knee is fully better very soon. Enjoy the hot chocolate and look forward to seeing you back on air.

Charlie I am in hospital at the moment my first time! I agree with everything you say about the amazing NHS. Seeing it first hand makes me appreciate all they do the staff are amazing and so hard working . I hope to be home in a few days thanks to the care I have received. I wish you a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing you when I am back home.
