Hi,
I’m writing this as the clocks are about to go back, bringing that time of year when I sometimes don’t see much daylight for days on end! When I’m on the early shift at work I get in about 6am, when it’s still dark, and often don’t arrive home until well after 4pm, when it’s dark again. I’ll be out running as much as possible on my days off though (in fact, I’m hoping to be able to do my first, socially distanced, running event of the year in November, can’t wait!) as I think getting outside is so important. But sometimes you have to make your own sunshine, and look for the little bright spots, and I’m so grateful to have my job and my colleagues who make me laugh every single day.
The biggest bright spot in my life since my last blog was seeing the audiobook version of my latest novel The Perfect Couple go to number one on the Audible chart – aaagh! It’s my first number one; this book got to number two on the UK Amazon chart, number three in Australia and number 30 in the US but a number one is special and I’m so very thrilled and grateful to everyone who’s bought, read and supported the book. I’m now on a 1st of December deadline for my next one which is coming out next year… STRESS!
At work of course we’re now in our busiest time of the year, and although this Christmas will be like no other (and I’ll be working most of it this year too), it’s still something I always really look forward to. We’ve got some AMAZING food and drink offerings at QVC this year, and from Monday 26th October until the 1st of November you can shop in two interest-free instalments by using the code FOOD2Z at checkout. I’ve got my eye on a couple of gifts – the set of two chocolate-filled Christmas stockings from Hotel Chocolat and the wine and cheese hamper from Hay Hampers (although I may be tempted to keep that one for myself…).
We have lots of exciting fashion and cosmetics coming on board too. Fashion brand White Stuff arrived last week and pretty much sold out in an hour! There are a few pieces still available on the website and hopefully it will all be back in stock very soon. My favourites are this gorgeous reversible wool coat (left) and the dress covered in stars.
Do look out for the first Gade Cosmetics show too, which I’ll be presenting at 5pm on Tuesday 27th. It’s already online and I can’t wait to try it!
