All about high-street style

Grab your (virtual) bag, it’s time to go shopping! We’re hitting the high streets on the search of the latest styles from some of the biggest brands in fashion. Fancy joining us for a stroll? With trend-led clothes, shoes and accessories, plus seasonal staples to bring your wardrobe right up to date, there’s plenty to discover from the names you know and love.

Phase Eight

First opening its doors in 1979 with a boutique store in London’s Wandsworth Common, Phase Eight has been a go-to destination for empowering, feminine style for over 40 years. The newest designs from this much-loved brand are no exception, with dresses and tops in feel-good prints as well as stylish basics designed to flatter all shapes.

One style that’ll work especially well in your wardrobe right now is this Rocco Roll Neck Jumper. It’s perfect for layering over a top and under a coat while there’s still a winter chill in the air, but the Soft Pink shade gives it a refreshing look that will be well-suited to the spring months too.

Monsoon

Another long-established name, Monsoon first emerged in 1972 at a market stall in Portobello Road and the brand has had a passion for bringing beautiful fabrics and prints together since the very beginning. This Elaina Paisley midi dress is a great example of the brand’s iconic bohemian-inspired style, featuring a gorgeous paisley print and a beautiful flared skirt that will go brilliantly with chunky boots.

We’re also all for these Marnie pull-on trousers right now, which are made from a lightweight linen, cotton and viscose blend that will help to keep you cool and comfortable on the warmer days to come.

Vionic

For a footwear update, we recommend turning to Vionic for shoes that not only look good but feel good too. Founded in 1991 by Australian podiatrist Phillip Vasyli, Vionic is all about delivering stability, arch support and cushioning for your feet via clever Three-Zone Comfort technology.

Why not try out these Aura Paisley trainers and see for yourself? We’re big fans of their laidback look and think they’ll go nicely with both pretty day dresses and casual jeans and T-shirt combos.

White Stuff

Speaking of laidback style, White Stuff is a brand that knows a thing or two about relaxed yet chic fashion. It first started life back in 1985 as a way to fund the ski-loving founders’ trips to the French Alps and although the designs may have evolved over the years, a free-spirited nature remains.

A sensational wardrobe staple you can easily dress up or down is the Annie jersey shirt. It comes in this stunning Teal Multi print or a slightly more subtle Chartreuse Multi print and looks amazing tucked into jeans. We also like the idea of wearing it with wide-leg trousers or a floaty skirt.

Finery

This London-based womenswear brand has been delivering some serious style since 2014 and we’d happily welcome every design into our wardrobe! Finery’s latest pieces include even more must-have dresses in bold prints and flattering silhouettes that you’ll want to wear for years to come.

The Orla midi dress is certainly one of them, with gorgeous pleated detail at the front and a fit and flare shape giving it a sophisticated, feminine and timeless appearance. Long sleeves means it is ideal for wearing while the weather is still a little cooler too. We recommend teaming it with tights, boots and a coat on especially chilly days and then on its own with heels or flats on warmer ones.

Joules

Back in 1989 Tom Joule began selling clothes on a stand at a country show in Leicestershire, when he noticed that practical clothing tended to lack any personality. Fast forward three decades and Joules has grown to become an established British brand known for perfectly blending function and style.

Take this Seaport Chenille jumper, it’s soft and incredible comfortable yet in no way lacks a bit of flair with its charming colour block and striped design. We’re all for the relaxing, vibrant and nautical vibes it exudes and know it will pair brilliantly with jeans and trainers this season.

Moda in Pelle

Like to finish off your ensembles with a pair of glamorous heels? Look no further than our last high street stop, Moda in Pelle. The much-adored footwear and handbag brand has been crafting beautiful accessories for over 40 years and their range includes a fantastic variety of heels.

One pair that has gone straight to the top of our list is the Loelia peep-toe. Those eye-catching metallic trim details and block heels are all you need to make a fashion statement! It’s also impossible not to be drawn to the Chrissi slingback sandals – grab them in one of the popular leopard print options while you can.
