Reset your style!

It’s February, the year is well and truly on its way, and everything seems that little bit brighter as we start to shift towards spring (hooray!). If you’re looking forward to the changes a fresh season can bring then why not get started now with a style reset? There’s no better time to try something different, switch up your look and breathe new life into your wardrobe, especially when there’s interest-free instalment offers to be found in our Reset Your Style collection!

But how to get started? Let us show you…

Pick bright colours

We recently caught up with Monia Salvini, one of our Content Stylists here at QVC, and she says: “one of the easiest ways to uplift your mood is by adding vibrant hues to your outfit”. So, if you’re stuck in a bit of a winter rut, we say bring on the cheery colours!

Something like this Dannii Minogue dress in the Strawberry Red or Hot Pink option is exactly what we’re talking about. It’s one of those pieces that will have you smiling every time you put it on and we love that you can wear it as a dress or a long open shirt.

You can easily introduce more colour into your casual collection too with jumpers, tops or even loungewear in brighter hues. This Colour Pop jumper from Phase Eight is a great example, delivering on cosy comfort while supplying a fresh snap of vibrancy with its modern asymmetric line design.

Be clever with layering

Moving into the winter-to-spring transitional period means you can begin to shed the millions of layers the coldest days call for, but the ever-unpredictable weather also means you need to be prepared for anything. From lightweight cardigans to raincoats, layers of all kinds are your friend here and getting the most suitable ones for the season is not only a nice treat but an essential in our eyes!

A denim jacket like this Ruth Langsford one is always a good option and a wardrobe staple you can wear well into spring and summer. On those days when winter is having its last hurrah, layer it over a jumper like this super-soft Shoreline jumper from White Stuff for added warmth, or on milder spring-ready days team it with a floral dress like this beautiful midi dress from Monsoon.

Get playful

Another top tip from Stylist Monia is to “ditch all the colour rules and enjoy playing with your wardrobe.” Yep, forget about what colours are on trend and simply pick those pieces that bring you the most joy! This ties in nicely to trying something different too, so if there’s a certain print or style you’ve always wondered about or an ‘out there’ design you’ve not braved yet – go for it!

A couple of playful pieces from our Reset Your Style collection you might want to try include Masai Copenhagen’s Narai shirt dress, which boasts a brilliantly bold print, White Stuff’s Flora jumper (what a fabulous floral design!), and this eye-catching statement necklace from Lola Rose. We especially love it in the sizzling sunset shades of the Sweet Pink Quartzite option.

Switch up your accessories

If you don’t want to totally transform your wardrobe or you’d like a nice and snappy way to refresh your look, then turn to accessories. Swapping well-worn boots for a crisp pair of trainers, finishing off an outfit with some gleaming earrings, or carrying around a sleek new bag can do wonders for resetting your style and your mood. It’s also a fantastic way to introduce pops of colour if you’re hesitant to go bolder with your clothes, as Monia says; “feeling out of your comfort zone? Go bold and bright with accessories!”.

The Lexington small cross-body bag from Radley provides an effortless way to do this, coming in a variety of colours including this ‘look at me’ Claret Croc red. If it’s fresh kicks you’re after, Skechers continues to bring out a number of sleek new designs such as the Bob Squad 3 Star Flight Trainers. Their laidback yet fashionable appearance means they’ll work well with jeans, leggings and any other everyday casual styles.
