Five key fashion trends for spring

Spring is on its way and we can’t wait to refresh our wardrobes for the season. Pack away the jumpers and coats, because we’ve scoured through QVC to find the five must-have trends for spring.

Natural fibres

Lightweight yet durable, natural materials are a must-have through spring. Denim is a great option due to its timeless nature – you can guarantee it’ll always be in fashion. We’ll be relying on this embroidered jacket from Denim & Co. to keep us warm on cloudy days, and pairing Monsoon’s Nieve organic cotton dress with white trainers for a relaxed casual style when the sun comes out. As for accessories, look at naturally-occurring stones for a glittering finish or add some beautifully supple leather to your outfit. The semi-precious gemstones of Lola Rose’s Malani necklace brings some elegant colour to your jewellery box, while this leather Lulu Guinness tote bag boasts a smooth texture that’ll complement any look.

Statement prints

From animal print to tie-dye, statement prints are going to be everywhere this spring. Nautical designs are on our radar, so we’ll be pairing these striped cropped trousers from Denim & Co. with a white T-shirt for a cool, casual style. If stripes aren’t your thing, go for polka dots. Bold, yet incredibly easy to wear, they bring a fun edge to any outfit. The Nessa top from Monsoon is perfect for those ‘jeans and a nice top’ events and the print feels effortlessly glamorous. Want to take a walk on the wild side instead? Then why not go for on-trend animal print. We love how this dress from Perceptions plays with print for a layered leopard look.

For a something a bit more retro, we’ll definitely be wearing the Tina top from Monsoon too. With a chic tie-dye effect and a gorgeous fit, this shirt will see you from the office to an evening on the town with ease.

Florals

For us, spring always means florals and this year, true-to-life prints are key. Kim & Co’s jumpsuits are some of our most coveted items, and this short-sleeved one comes in a range of beautiful designs. We particularly love the realistic exotic flower print as it’s a fabulous piece for transitioning into summer. If you’re not sure about all-over print, why not go for a floral top or pair of trousers for a subtle style? This printed top from Denim & Co. offers an uber-feminine look with flattering cap sleeves that’ll look great over jeans, whereas Kim & Co’s rose-print tunic top looks stunning paired with black bootcut trousers. We can’t get enough of the Keiki trousers from Phase Eight either, the abstract floral print will be perfect for holidays later in the year.

As for spring colours, with Classic Blue and Saffron among Pantone’s colour picks for the year, it’s no surprise that these shades are on our must-have list for spring.

Blue

When it comes to blue, we’ll be sticking to a tonal palette, layering multiple shades to create a high-impact look that’s easy to wear. By arming your wardrobe with different pieces from the same colour palette, your styling options are endless. We love wearing the MarlaWynne canvas Drama jacket over this sleeveless dress from Nina Leonard. Add the Cleo bag from Lulu Guinness, and you’re good to go.

Yellow

Yellow can often be seen as a hard-to-wear colour, but it’s simply a matter of finding the tone that suits you. For a sunny shade, this jersey cardigan and top set from Michele Hope will look gorgeous worn with white or cream trousers, but if you want something a bit softer, the Kim & Co long-sleeved tunic top is a great way of introducing yellow into your wardrobe. Tie everything together with the Sayde necklace from Lola Rose – its muted tones will complement even the brightest yellow.
