Summer glow up!

Happy July! This week I’m just going to share with you some of my picks from QVC‘s current fashion and beauty offerings, in case (with summer finally truly here!) you may want to treat yourself! Maybe you’re even going away for a little break – we’re heading off to stay in a hotel in Staffordshire next week, and I’m as excited as if we were going off somewhere exotic. We haven’t been away anywhere since we had a mini break in Wales last year so I can’t wait.

Styling with the Dyson Airwrap

My first pick is the Dyson Airwrap, which is finally back in stock. I bought this when it first came out, and although it is a lot of money for a hair-styling tool I really do think it’s worth every penny because you can do SO much with it. Dry, wave, curl, add volume – and it’s so easy to use too. I’m not the best at doing my own hair, but even I can get really good results with this. Our make-up artists at work use it all the time too, so I thought I’d share a little video with you from the other day when our lovely head of make-up, June, gave me some fabulous loose waves. It only took a few minutes! (And yes we do chat a lot in the make-up room – you can only see me talking in this because June is double-masked as per makeup room regulations but trust me, she’s Irish like me – she can talk!).

Next, nails! On Monday 5th July the Today’s Special Value offer is from Perfect Formula. The six-piece Gel Coat Collection is brilliant – these polishes add a thick, protein-rich coating to your nails to help strengthen and protect them, and help them grow longer and stronger. This kit is great because it contains three coloured gel coats, which are my favourite Perfect Formula products. There’s Sorbet (a bright raspberry), Nude (a soft beige) and Deluxe (a pearl, sparkly one). You also get the pink and ruby pink gel coats and a clear gel coat, all nicely boxed up. If you have struggled to grow your nails, this is definitely worth a try and the value will be fabulous on Monday.

And finally, fashion. There’s a July Fashion Event at QVC on Thursday 8th and our presenter stylist Stine chose a couple of outfits for me recently and we headed outside to Chiswick Park to take some photos. These pieces are all in stock as I write this. Outfit one features a lovely Frank Usher top with a big sparkly star teamed with Ruth Langsford’s crop cotton twill jeans and a very cute little bag from Ophia. And I just love outfit two, being a big fan of “athleisure” wear. The top image is the “I Am Strong” hoody is by Gok Wan and has matching bottoms which are so comfortable, I’m wearing these with Ruth Langsford’s new white snake trainers, which I absolutely love.
