Hi Will. A really superb interview by yourself, just enough prompt to give Simon the freedom to talk but to get great insight into his life and experience. I loved it. He is such an interesting person, but also an participant in such interesting times. A bit like The Crown, reminding us of our own lives and experiences.
A fascinating account of Simon’s early years in business & his honesty surrounding keeping Butler & Wilson going through good times and bad.

Simon is extremely kind. Some years ago I took my ( at the time) 12 year old relative to London. It was snowing on Dec 18th. We were in the South Molton street shop. Her mother is seriously ill. He loves seeing customers. After talking to Olivia who was excited to see him he beckoned her over. He gave her a signed copy of his second book and we had discount on our purchases. She treasures the book and will shortly be 21. It meant a great deal to us. He is such a talented designer. It’s about time Simon was recognised with an award.
