As promised, here is another little roundup of the rest of my weekend in Wales with my lovely daughter last week. Needless to say, the monster veg got a look in again. Firstly, the mahoosive cucumbers (don’t worry, I did not take them into work this time, considering the teasing I got when I left a note saying “massive cucumbers in the fridge help yourself!”) Plus, a ginormous morrow! I was eating it for about five days when I got back!
Had some lovely times again with gorgeous little granddaughter Phoebe. Here she is dressed up like the Darling Buds of May. I can’t post a video for obvious reasons, but on one of the last days, we had got into a routine sitting in the little shepherd’s hut, and she said to me one morning, “help Nannan… make… some… cuppa… tea,” aged 23 months! I loved my time with the little beauty.
And, of course, spent some more time with my wonderful daughter. Lauren and I went down to the river bank and had a lovely cup of coffee on the last day and put the world to rights. The weather was gorgeous, and it was just the stuff that summer days are made for. I hope it’s not too long before I return. And of course she will be coming down to see me in my new place very soon!
Flat update
I hoped last week that by now I would be in. Wrong. Completion is now set for Tuesday. Let’s see… I did, however, order myself some lovely Alison Cork ottomans (the round ones with velvet covering, go here to see them) for the new place, as they will serve so many purposes. Not just for dirty laundry, but also for when people come round to see the place for the first few months, as I won’t have much furniture to start with!
Elemis Today’s Special Value on Sunday 20th
All the highlights of the week ahead are down the bottom, but on my Facebook page I did a special unveiling of this Sunday‘s TSV from Elemis. Go have a look…
Watch out also for the entertaining Instagram Keeley did with Will too using the full kit, when for an hour they went through the use of all the products bit by bit, including Will in a headband!
By the way, also on my Facebook page you will find regular updates so do follow me. This week’s Singalongadebbie/#ThursdayBantz is also there, with updates, chat, gossip, and some songs! Search Debbieflintqvcchat on Facebook.

Poggy love
Look how little Beau has grown! Now Daisy lives with my brother and her little companion, puppy Beau. She is very content. I keep you updated with pics, and here is the latest one – showing how the little one has got bigger and how they love lying side by side! I’m very grateful when my lovely sister-in-law Amanda sends me pictures like this, I feel very reassured that Daisy is in a happy place with them all.
Ingrid and me
Popped by to see my wonderful friend Ingrid Tarrant this week. She is very busy with lots of projects, and we did a little video that’s also on my social media. 🙂 I joined her when she was walking her pets around the garden, dog Barclay, cat Philippa, and pig George. Yes, really. Ingrid regaled me with the story of when George appeared on “This Morning” earlier in the year – very funny. 🙂 It was lovely to see her (and also, earlier in the day, to see my friend Fiona who also lives near Dorking). I had gone for a dentist appointment and was able to catch up with both of them! So it felt really strange to see some friends again, but lovely. 🙂
Meeting Mummy
Once I got back from Wales last weekend, it was a pleasure to go to the carvery with my lovely mum and her partner David. I haven’t seen her for a little while and it was nice to have a catch up as ever. I’m looking forward to moving into my new place, which is next door to Mum, and seeing much more of her over the next years. We queued for ages as the roast is now all individually served and everyone watches while you choose what vegetables you’re going to have, so I solved that by saying a little bit of everything! Well, almost everything. I need to get back to having lots more vegetables though and walking a lot more, which I will do when I move into my new flat. Promise.
Watch – Strike!
Loving, loving, loving “Lethal White” on iPlayer with private investigator Cormoran Strike, JK Rowling’s character (when she writes as Robert Galbraith). Well acted, endearing, funny. It’s a really well written series, based on the books by the famous author under her thriller pen name, and how delighted was I when I realised that this week the new book is out as well, where the adventures carry straight on….
Book of the week – Troubled Blood by Robert Galbraith (JK Rowling)
Strike takes a holiday in Cornwall and is asked to tackle a cold case. He’s never done one before, let alone a 40-year-old one. How will Robin help him find the solution to the challenge? And how will their relationship develop now she has split up with her husband? I have the audiobook downloaded right now and I can’t wait to find out 🙂
Podcast
This week Shanna, from Tarte cosmetics, features and it’s really interesting, as usual! Go here to see the whole Tarte range, I was very impressed with the eye make-up palette in our show last week! Listen to the podcast here.
Next week, I’m going to record my episode with Will, which will go out for the one year anniversary. We will be looking back at some of the highlights. What was yours? Let me know on my social media. 🙂
QVC top deals over the next seven days
Friday (today) – go here to see and buy what’s left of the fab 5 in 1 Revamp hair styler. It’s a classic hot air device with attachments, and you can get lots of different effects. It gets some heat on it so it can style tricky hair really easily.
Then join me tonight at 9pm and midnight for the new…
Saturday – …Ninja all-in-one mini oven! It’s a belter! The Foodi Max has a smart cook system with a digital cooking probe you can insert into a joint for perfectly cooked meat and fish, exactly as you like it. Gail will be talking us through the various functions of this health grill and air fryer combo – a solid performer coupled with the reliability of this top brand.
It can grill, it’s an air fryer, plus it can roast, bake, dehydrate (that’s a new one) and, obviously, it can reheat. You can cook from frozen, it produces little smoke, and use little or no added oil. What is clever, is the “cyclonic air technology”, circulating temperatures up to 260° for quick and even cooking. I’m really looking forward to trying it as I love my Cook’s Essentials air fryer and I do use it all of the time.
Sunday – the amazing value four-piece Elemis Pro-collagen Skincare Heroes set, with the useful addition of the 15 minute Tri-acid Peel anti-wrinkle exfoliant. The whole set is worth £193 and it’s well under £70! Available now online, so go here to catch it and don’t miss it on Sunday if you need more info first. The 30ml full size of my favourite Pro-Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream on its own is normally almost the value of the kit. Stock up now as it is a three year shelf life. 🙂

Thursday – James returns with the clever UV sanitiser, the Homedics pop-up phone cleaner – very timely.

Friday 9pm – …the Doll 10 nine-piece Gift of Beauty Colour collection from Doris and her brilliant cosmetics brand. It goes on sale earlier in the week.
As does the L’Occitane four-piece Fragrance Gift collection, Sunday’s TSV, so look out for it from midweek.

Love Strike too, so exciting. Glad you managed to have a catch up with your family, and little Granddaughter, so cute.
How lovely moving so close to your Mum, sounds like great fun…..though the stress of moving can be a nightmare. My son has just moved, even up to the signing of the Contracts, he was a nervous wreck. He had been chasing this flat for a year, he put an offer in, then lost his buyer, then they got an offer, anyhow it must have been meant to be, as he moved in with his family last week!
Yes, those stools looked lovely, a great hiding place too! Thank you for all the highlights, great things to look out for. Very best of luck for next Tuesday. Take care. Wendy.
Great blog as usual Debbie, hope all goes well with the flat this week.
Hi Debbie. I read your story about going to your daughter’s. I was so pleased that you advised her not to have puppies with her dogs. There are so many unwanted dogs waiting to have a loving home; I don’t think any of the QVC presenters have rescued dogs – they all seem to be be pedigrees.
Best wishes,
Pamela Whitaker
Hi Debbie,
when are we going to see the lovely Ingrid Tarrant back on QVC? I just love her she is so natural.
Good luck with your move.
Best wishes

Hi Debbie, my favourite presenter on QVC, you always give as much information on the clothes i.e. sizes, body shapes and say what size you wear and the models, especially if the models are the larger ladies. This is a huge help to us to order the correct sizes for our shape and size etc. this then avoids having to return items. Good luck with your move.
Good wishes
Janet
