This week’s blog is all about celebrating our new summer fashion campaign, which you may have already seen on the website and TV. The campaign not only looks at upcoming fashion here at QVC, but also how the three women involved like to express themselves through fashion and style choices, and our influences too. The campaign features wonderful stylist Katie Pemberton and fabulous fashion guest Alex Hayden, plus yours truly. Both these ladies are brilliant at the their jobs and firm friends of mine too.
We worked individually with our head stylist Stine Wintlev, whose blog on the event is here. I love working with Stine, as she knows my style and always encourages me to bring out my own fashion choices. In the brief, we looked at our personal style choices and combined them with some of the exciting new summer pieces coming available for you now at QVC. The headliners are from top fashion icons Dannii Minogue, Ruth Langsford and Helene Berman.
In the following pictures, you’ll see my outfit and I’ll list the pieces in the shoot.
For those of you who know my style and take a look at my Instagram, @eilidhnairntv, you’ll probably know that I like to mix my style and often incorporate a boho and/or rock chic vibe into my outfits, hair and make-up. Its always been about the full story for me when it comes to fashion and I love to visualize how an outfit will come together. For this look, I wanted to bring out my love of festivals, music and dance. Stine had chosen the incredible green utility jacket by Ruth Langsford and the super cool sandals by BOnova (a new brand to QVC). I thought by adding some cool fresh white jeans (turning them up to show the sandals and ankles) and Dannii Minogue white vest would keep the vibe fresh. We also added that incredible Amanda Wakeley bag, plus jewellery by Escape by Melissa Odabash. These two pieces really elevated the look and gave it a touch of classy chic. I love bringing that element into a boho casual style.
Here is the list for you to shop if you wish.
Hair and make-up
Our super talented make-up team, Makeup Junkies, were on hand to create the look too. Natalie-Danielle was the make-up artist. I love how she did my hair, she totally managed to capture the look I had in my mind. Soft waves with a half up-do braided knot. For the make-up, we kept it to warm with a glowy summer freshness. I often use Tarte, Laura Geller and Bareminerals to create the looks I have on air.
I’d like to also say a huge thanks to the team that made this all happen: photography by Mudita Aeron. Art direction by Hannah Robson. Lighting by Adrian Smith. Hair and make-up by Natalie-Danielle. Styling by Stine Wintlev.
I hope you enjoy the looks and inspirations as much as we’ve enjoyed sharing them. I’d love to hear your fashion inspirations and stories too, so please drop me a line here or on my Insta. Until then take care, keep the sun cream close by and enjoy the summer!
Love,
Eilidh
