The term ‘cut crease’ wasn’t even in our vocabulary two years ago, but now, after seeing amazing, dramatic and colour interpretations of the eyeshadow look on Instagram, cut crease eyeshadow is making it’s way into our mainstream make-up looks.
Principally, a cut crease shadow creates a contrast on the crease of your eyelid, defining and lifting your eyes. You can go for a bold, dramatic look by using vibrant or contrasting colours, or a natural cut crease by using neutral or more gradual shades.
If you have hooded eyes, you may not think a cut crease is for you – this is where we come in. We enlisted the help of make-up artist Katie, to show us the basics of a cut crease look, and how to do it on any eye, including hooded lids.
