Hello,

I mentioned in my last blog that for well over a year now I have been part of a big team at QVC working on a very exciting project. This week, that project finally comes to fruition, on all of our platforms here at QVC – online, on air and on our social media. It’s called Menopause Your Way, and it’s the start of an open conversation about menopause, something which I know many of us feel has been a long time coming. Things have changed a little over the past couple of years, with people like Davina McCall talking about menopause on television, but we feel that there is still a long way to go, and that’s where we come in.

And so it begins here at QVC! We’re going to be bringing you menopause experts, online resources, innovative products, lots of TV shows and, we hope, a really supportive community. We will be sharing our menopause experiences with you, and we hope that you will share yours with us.

Jackie Kabler

Jackie Kabler’s midlife journey

For starters, there is now a brand-new section on the website with a wonderful selection of articles –  lots of advice and information as well as things you might like to buy to help you on your particular menopause journey. We all experience it differently; some sail through it, others have a frankly terrible time. I’ve learned so much over the past 18 months or so, some of it incredibly surprising – for example, did you know that there are 48 symptoms of menopause, yet research has revealed that more than half of us can name only three? Personally, I feel that I have been quite lucky so far, with just a few strange symptoms. We have filmed some videos with some of us here at QVC talking about our own experiences and you can watch mine above – anyone else suffered from burning mouth syndrome?!!

As well as all of the online bits and pieces, from this Friday the 1st of July we start a run of special Menopause Your Way shows. They will be on Fridays at 4 pm, starting with a five-week run with lots more to follow. I will be presenting most of this first series (there is one that I can’t do, so Pipa will be with you for that one) and I think you will see that they have quite a different feel to our usual shows with lots of chat and advice, so I really hope you can join us. I don’t want to go on about this too long now, as there will be so much to talk about on the subject over the coming months, but do check out the new section on the website. And it would be wonderful if you could get in touch with us during the shows with your questions and also your experiences.

We will also have a great Today’s Special Value offer on Friday, perfect for menopausal skin. It’s from supplement brand Imedeen, and it’s the Prime Renewal 50+ Collection – four months’ worth of supplements that contain a range of vitamins and minerals specially designed for women over the age of 50. This is an award-winning brand, and this is a really easy way to boost your daily skincare routine, targeting your skin from the inside out.

I look forward to chatting all things menopause on-air on Friday – it would be great if you could join us!

Love,

Jackie x

Hello,

I am delighted to say that I am still pretty much in one piece this week, after my ultramarathon at the weekend. Thank you so much for all the kind wishes you sent me on my social media accounts – I wasn’t able to reply to all of them but I read every single one and they were all so much appreciated. For those who don’t know, I was running at a 24-hour running endurance event called Endure24 (described on their website as “Epic, Brutal, Relentless”) and it was definitely all that and more.

We began running at midday on Saturday and finished at midday on Sunday, running as many laps of a five-mile (8 km) course as possible, and what a 24 hours it was! Such an extraordinary group of runners, a stunning route through woods and beautiful countryside (even if there were some killer hills!) and a really well-organised event with brilliant marshals who kept us going on the route especially through the night. I had a mini disaster at 1:30 in the morning when my (brand new!) head torch stopped working; I had spare batteries with me but foolishly not a spare torch, and naturally we weren’t allowed out on the course without one in the dark, so all I could do was wait until it started to get bright at around 4:30 am before I could resume running, which lost me three hours.

I had hoped to run possibly 75 miles, but I couldn’t make up the time I had lost, so I managed to do 65 miles (105 km) which is still two and a half marathons, so I have to be happy with that! My longest run prior to this was 32 miles, so I somehow managed to more than double that, I’m still not sure how. I felt reasonably comfortable up to 40 miles, but I had to dig deep for the final 25 – I was in pain, exhausted and feeling quite sick at times, but the camaraderie of the other runners and the support of my husband who did an amazing job looking after me and making me eat and drink between laps got me through.

There were around 4,000 runners in total but most were in relay teams, taking turns to run laps; only a handful of us were mad enough to do this event solo, and of the 115 female solo runners I ended up coming in 28th place, which was a pleasant surprise. I did this to raise money for Headway UK, the brain injury charity, in memory of my late sister Deborah who died from a brain injury, and as I write this I have more than doubled my fundraising target so I am absolutely thrilled with that too.

Two things from QVC proved invaluable; my Ultrasun face and scalp spray 50+, for those essential sun protection top ups through the day, and a new discovery – Freshwipes antiseptic body wipes. It’s a brand which has just launched with us and it’s fantastic. I got absolutely filthy out there on the trails and I used these wipes several times during the 24 hours to clean myself down and feel fresh again. They get rid of dirt and sweat and odour and they are made from a plant-based viscose, so fully biodegradable unlike many wipes. I think they would be fantastic for camping too, or for anyone who struggles to have regular baths or showers. They’ll be an essential part of my trail running kit from now on!

All in all, an amazing way to spend a weekend and I have come away with just one blister, possibly a couple of toenails on their way out (!) and a couple of slightly aching tendons which I’m sure will settle down quickly, so overall a pretty good result.

So, back to work and there are lots of exciting things happening over the next few weeks. One thing which I will tell you a lot more about in my next blog is a project I have been working on as part of a huge team for over a year now. It’s called Menopause Your Way, and we are very excited about it – we are about to start a major conversation and programming on QVC about every aspect of menopause, bringing you everything from industry-leading experts to a huge new collection of innovative products to help you through your menopause journey. It will launch online on the 28th of June, so look out for a new section on the website. We will also have a great Today’s Special Value offer that day from This Works, which will be targeting one of the most common symptoms of menopause for many – insomnia. And from the 1st of July we start a run of weekly Menopause Your Way shows, on Fridays at 4 pm.

As I said, I will tell you a lot more about all of this in my blog next week – I’m going to be presenting the first few shows and I can’t wait!

One more thing just to mention before I finish, because I think this is an incredible deal that is coming up as a Today’s Special Value offer this Sunday 28th. It’s a smart TV from Hisense, a brand which has been around since 1969. They offer exceptional value for money and incredible innovation. This is a full HDR 4K Freeview television with incredible studio sound quality – it honestly sounds like being in a cinema! It comes with a full suite of popular apps and Alexa/Google Assistant already built in and there is a choice of 55 inch or 50 inch screen.  If you have been thinking of buying a new TV, I would absolutely recommend you tune in to some of the tech shows on Saturday night or Sunday – I will be presenting at 11 am on Sunday.

I’m off to enjoy the sunshine in the garden- hope it’s sunny where you are!

Love Jackie x

Hi all,

Hope everyone is well and enjoying some better weather this month – it has been really lovely in Gloucestershire over the past week or two, and I am sitting in the garden as I write this blog, enjoying the sunshine on my face and the birds singing in the trees!

I’ve had a busy couple of weeks so it’s nice to just sit and relax for a few minutes; my new book, The Murder List,  came out two weeks ago and I’ve been busy with various things related to that, although I was absolutely thrilled to see it go straight into the Amazon top 100 the day after publication, something which has never happened before. It’s out now in e-book and audiobook with the paperback release to follow in July.

I’m also trying to take it easy for a few days this week because next weekend (18th/19th June) I’ll be running again, and this time I’m taking on the longest ultramarathon challenge I’ve ever attempted – Endure24, the UK’s biggest 24-hour race. The tagline on their website is Epic, Brutal, Relentless – so yes, what am on earth am I doing?! Most run this Berkshire event as a relay in teams, but there’s a smaller group who run it solo, and yes, I’m one of those! The idea is to run as many laps of the (hilly, off-road) 5 mile/8km course as you can in the 24 hours from midday Saturday to midday Sunday. I have no idea how many miles I’ll be able to do – all I know is that I will attempt to keep running for the full 24 hours. I’m doing it to raise money for the Gloucestershire branch of Headway UK, the brain injury charity, in memory of my sister Deborah who (as many of you already know) died from a brain injury in 2010 when she was just 39.

It’s a bit like a big running festival – my husband is coming with me, and all the runners and their supporters pitch up on the Friday night and camp (we have rented a campervan for the weekend; I am definitely NOT doing this in a tent!). There is music and food stalls, and everyone has a nice time on Friday night, then the running starts at midday on the Saturday and off we go. You know how accident prone I am, and I do have a couple of niggly injuries at the moment which are concerning me: a problem with two of the joints in my left foot, which can be very painful, and my ongoing lower back problem which has been flaring up recently. But I’m committed to this now, so I will just take it steady and see how it goes. Please send me lots of positive thoughts – I will update you about what happens on my social media and on my next blog!

I’ve taken a few days off running in the run-up to this and have been getting out in the garden as much as possible. I think this is my favourite time of the year for gardening – there is so much lovely colour in the flower beds (see photo). Some of my garden tools, though, were a little bit worse for wear, so I treated myself to the Gardening Pick of the Month from QVC. It’s quite an amazing offer from SFIXX – a three-piece set including a little garden saw, and two pairs of secateurs: a ratchet pair and a bypass pair. For under £20 plus P&P I couldn’t resist, and I have already been using them in the garden and they are fantastic.

And having said that, the cucumbers need watering so I am going to go and do that now! See you soon,

Love, Jackie x

Hello,

I’ve had a lovely weekend away since my last blog – I went to Whitby! It was a long-awaited reunion with two of my oldest friends, Dione and Gillian. We met in our first year at university, at Trinity College, Dublin, and we’ve been friends ever since, so for almost 40 years now. We normally have a weekend away together every year, but the pandemic scuppered that for the past two years, so we were so excited to be able to finally meet up and spend some quality time together.

I’d never been to Whitby before – we chose it because Gillian lives in Edinburgh, I’m in Gloucestershire and Dione lives in Kent, so we wanted somewhere roughly equidistant. I’m sure lots of you know it, but I wasn’t quite sure what to expect and was so very pleasantly surprised. I love Yorkshire anyway, and I love being by the sea, so it was the perfect choice. We spent some delightful hours wandering around the cobbled streets, admiring the Gothic architecture and climbing up the East Cliff to the ruins of Whitby Abbey (which was actually Bram Stoker’s inspiration for Dracula!). It’s clearly a very popular place for a day trip – it was VERY busy on the Saturday – so next time I would probably visit a little bit more out of season, but it was still a wonderful weekend.

It was great to have the time out because life is very busy at the moment. I have been part of a team working on a huge project at work for the past year, and that is just reaching its culmination, so I will be very excited to be able to share that with you very soon. I also have my new book The Murder List coming out next week, and I’m in the final weeks of training for my next big charity ultramarathon in mid-June. And then of course there is all the everyday work at QVC, which is as busy and fun as always!

I always love working with my buddy Ruth Langsford, and she has her latest Today’s Special Value offer coming up over the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend (it launches on Friday night; I’m off that day, but I will be with her on-air for two hours from 11 am on Saturday). This time she’s bringing us the perfect summer jumper, a gorgeous, lightweight, cotton-rich V-neck style (it has a V at both the front and the back). It’s actually a cotton/viscose mix but has the appearance of linen knitwear and is super soft and comfortable. There’s a fabulous choice of colours too: Cornflower Blue, Candy Pink, Citrus, Orange Sorbet, White or Navy.

The other offer I have my eye on over the next week is an excellent combined Today’s Special Value offer from Ultrasun and Skinsense. The brands are both brought to us by Abi Cleeve, and this time she has put them together in a 5-Piece Anti-Pigmentation Collection. From Skinsense, there’s a very exciting new anti-pigmentation perfecting serum, plus the highly active day cream and my favourite double strength retinol serum. And then from Ultrasun, we’ll get the anti-pigmentation face SPF 50 and another of my favourites, the anti-pigmentation handcream with SPF 25. You may have seen me talking about this on-air and showing you the amazing results I have had on my hands! It isn’t always in stock so I’m so excited to see it in this collection. If pigmentation is an issue for you, as it is for me, I can’t recommend these products highly enough. The offer launches on Tuesday night and will be on air through the day on Wednesday, or while stocks last.

That’s it for now – I hope you have some nice plans for the Jubilee weekend. I will be working the Saturday and Sunday, but I have the Thursday and Friday off and I’m hoping to get together with some friends and enjoy some live music and celebrations in one of our local parks, which should be fun. Whatever you’re doing, I hope you have a lovely relaxing time.

See you soon!

Love, Jackie x

Hi,

Phew, I’ve had such a busy few weeks since my last blog update! First, it was my birthday at the end of April and because I basically had two full lockdown birthdays in 2020 and 2021, I decided to go for it this year and have a three-day birthday celebration. On my actual birthday, my husband and I went out for an early dinner and then went on to the theatre to see an adaptation of a Peter James crime novel, Looking Good Dead (that might sound a bit morbid, but I am a crime writer after all!). Peter James is one of my favourite authors and the play was fantastic – it starred Adam Woodyatt (Ian from EastEnders) and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Then, the following evening, we had some friends round for drinks and a barbecue in the garden. At QVC, we’ve recently started selling a range of premixed cocktails from a company called Tapp’d, so it seemed the perfect opportunity to try some of them out.

There is such a good selection to choose from – Mojitos,  Pina Coladas, even alcohol-free versions – plus they are vegetarian and vegan friendly and gluten-free (so, as one of my friends commented, practically a health drink!). Some are just “pour and drink”, others you pop into a cocktail shaker with some ice and give them a quick shake. I tried several (!) and they were all delicious, and our friends very much enjoyed them too. In fact, one said, and I quote: “this is the best cocktail I’ve had since my holiday in the Maldives years ago – I’m just wearing more clothes now than I was then!” Big tick from all of us – thank you, Tapp’d! If you are thinking of having a celebration for the Jubilee next month or any sort of summer party, I would really recommend these.

I made a little video during the evening so you can see what I’m talking about. The third day of my birthday celebration was a little bit more sedate – we went along to a street market near where I live in Cheltenham, and then listened to some music at the free stage at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival. All in all, a fab three days.

Last weekend I ran a marathon – I basically treated it as a training run for the big ultramarathon I’m hoping to be able to run in June. I do have a few little niggles – a dodgy foot which I think may cause me some issues, but nothing too major at the moment thankfully, so fingers crossed I will be able to do it. I’ll give you more details soon!

After all that I felt like I needed a lie down, so I was very happy to take delivery of a sample of the latest Today’s Special Value offer from Cozee Home.  It will be launching on-air at 9 pm on Tuesday 17th and featuring through the day on the 18th, and it’s from the brand’s much loved Supersoft range, perfect for the warmer months of the year.

If you haven’t tried it before, it’s bedding that feels as soft as peach skin, and this will be the first six-piece set to feature as a Today’s Special Value. The set comprises a duvet cover with a neat, buttoned fastening, a fitted sheet, two housewife pillowcases and two Oxford pillow shams. The sheet is plain but there is a very subtle, double-sided, embossed dot detail on all of the other pieces. It’s quite hard to see the dots on the white sample, but I have taken a close-up photo so hopefully you can get an idea of what it looks like.

I’m loving it in our spare bedroom! There is also a great choice of fresh, spring colours – White, Ochre, Mint, Pale Pink and Lavender. I’m such a big fan of Cozee Home in general;  I love the fleece bedding so much in the winter time, so it’s lovely to have such a good set at such a great price for the spring and summer too.

That’s it from me for now – speak soon!

Love, Jackie x

Hello,

What lovely weather it’s been over the past couple of weeks – well, certainly at home in Gloucestershire and here in London. I can’t believe that in my last blog I was showing you pictures of the snow we had during our week away in Yorkshire, and yet now spring really is here and the garden is absolutely blooming. You’ve probably already seen these incredible tulips on air if you watch the gardening shows on QVC, but I just had to show them to you; I have never seen tulips quite like them. They are the Gudoshnik double tulips from Plants2Gardens, and they are the biggest and most spectacular I’ve ever seen. Just amazing!

Unfortunately, one of our resident squirrels has also taken a fancy to them and keeps biting their heads off! In despair, I’ve now bought him his own little squirrel café in the form of a feeding station attached to one of the trees in the garden, in an attempt to stop him tasting the flowers. He dug up so many bulbs over the autumn and winter I’m amazed we actually have any spring flowers at all, but the squirrels are so entertaining to watch in the garden – I do love them really and I don’t want to hurt them or drive them away so hopefully the little squirrel café will work! I’ll try and get some pictures for my next blog.

I don’t really have much else to tell you this week – I haven’t been doing much except working, writing, gardening and running! My next book, The Murder List, is coming out next month (it was due to come out on 3rd June but the date has now been changed to 31st May, so a few days earlier) but I’m now working on my 2023 book with a December deadline. And running-wise, I’m currently in training for another ultramarathon event which is happening in June. It’s the biggest one I’ve ever attempted and I’m a little bit nervous (why do I put myself through these things? I must be mad!), but so far training is going well (I hope I’m not tempting fate by saying that – fingers crossed!). I’m just trying very hard not to get injured – watch this space, I’ll tell you more about it in May.

I hope you’re enjoying the spring – I always love to hear from you so do get in touch, either by leaving a comment under this blog or by following me on social media. On Twitter I’m @jackiekabler and on Instagram I’m @officialjackiekabler.

See you soon!

Hello,

Hope everyone is well and finally enjoying some milder weather. I’ve just come back from a week away in North Yorkshire – what a wonderful time we had! I’ve been to Yorkshire several times before but mainly for work and not for many years, so it was an absolute joy to be able to spend some quality time there. We visited Skipton, Arncliffe, Hawes, Grassington, Ripon and York; we drove and walked through some incredible countryside and I went for a glorious run along the Dales Way early one morning, which was just fantastic.

There were some rather unexpected sights too; we popped into a homeware store in Skipton only to see two nine-day-old lambs running around! The lady told us she was having to hand-rear them, so she just took them to work with her to make it easier. Completely adorable. If you follow me on Instagram (@officialjackiekabler) you will see a little video there of said lambs in said shop!

Another morning, we woke up to a blanket of snow, which we weren’t really expecting either, but which was absolutely beautiful. We went for a long walk in it; snow and sunshine were the perfect combination – it almost felt like being in the Alps.

While I was away my publisher also released details of my new book, The Murder List, which is coming out in June. It’s about a woman who receives a blank diary as a gift, but when she opens it she realises that it’s not blank after all, and that something very sinister is written in the pages…

I can’t believe this is my seventh book – I’m currently working on the eighth, with a December deadline, so I did some writing while we were away too. The Yorkshire Dales were the perfect writing retreat!

Anyway, back to work now and a busy few days coming up, with some rather nice Today’s Special Value offers. On Thursday, I’m looking forward to having a couple of shows with nailcare brand Orly, who bring us their 7-Piece Professional Treatment & Colour Collection. I’m a big fan of this range (I particularly like their Breathable nail polish collection), and this time we are getting three gorgeous colours, a topcoat, a base coat, the famous Cutique cuticle and stain remover, a cuticle pusher and remover tool, and a lovely cosmetics bag. Perfect for the new season, and at a fantastic price too.

On Friday it’s the turn of Skechers, with their Reggae Slim Sandals. These are sporty, flat, slingback sandals with memory foam foot beds and stretchy uppers. There will be six colours to choose from – great if you are heading off on a spring or summer break and need to be on your feet all day.

And on Friday night, I will be back with my buddy Ruth Langsford to launch her latest Today’s Special Value offer, a cropped version of her very popular relaxed jeans. As usual they will be available in Regular and Petite lengths, and there will be a choice of Indigo, Dark Indigo or a Light Wash. So join us on Friday night at 9 pm and again at midnight for some fashion and fun!

That’s it for now, have a great week.

Love,

Jackie x

So, our lovely presenter stylist Stine grabbed some of the outfits and pieces that will be featuring on-air on Friday and took me out into the QVC garden set for an impromptu fashion shoot. These are some of her – and my – favourite pieces that you will be seeing on the day.The star of the show will be the Today’s Special Value offer from Kim & Co. It’s a gorgeous, stretch suede, peplum jacket which will be available in a choice of six colours – Deep Camel, Black, Antique Rose, Oyster, Navy and Mauve. I’m wearing the Mauve option here – it’s not at all the colour I would normally choose but I was determined to try it and I really like it! I’m wearing it with a Dannii Minogue skirt and Moda in Pelle trainers. And for a more casual look I love this Denim & Co stretch jacket, worn with my favourite Ruth Langsford jeans and a fabulous handbag from Lulu Guinness. Two other fashion pieces to look out for this week are a couple of new Big Deals. One is this cute abstract print top from Phase Eight, and the other is a metallic trim T-shirt from JM Fashion by Julien Macdonald (pictured at the top). Other brands which will be featuring on air on Friday include Dune and WynneLayers. Happy shopping –  I’ll see you there!

Love Jackie x

Hello,

Tuesday this week was International Women’s Day, and the whole of March is Inspirational Women’s Month here at QVC – you can find out more on our website. Unfortunately, I had to take one of my days off on Tuesday this week, so I missed the day itself at QVC, because I had to go to the dentist to have an old root canal replaced! Not the most fun way to celebrate the day, sigh. It was absolutely fine though, and while I sat in the dentist’s chair I did think about how many incredible, inspirational women I know, and how many I am so lucky to work with on a daily basis.

From our talented, hard-working backstage teams to producers and directors, models, guest presenters and the women behind some of our biggest brands; so many extraordinary women, many of whom have battled great hardship or illness and yet have achieved so much and are such positive role models. What I particularly love about working here, as a woman in her 50s, is that we have so many older women who are still doing their thing in such a brilliant way: I’m thinking about people like Ruth Langsford who has launched a whole new career as a fashion designer as she heads into her 60s, and Helene Berman who is in her 70s and still working so hard and creating beautiful pieces.

There are so many women who also do wonderful things outside their QVC work too, from those who are talented musicians and artists to those who do fantastic and much-needed work with charities. There are far too many achievements and far too many remarkable women to list here, but here’s to all of them – long may they continue to inspire us. (Of course, we have some exceptional men working here too; in case you weren’t aware, International Men’s Day is later this year, on the 19th of November!) All genders admired and appreciated.

As I write this we are having a final little bit of work done on our garden at home – the patio has had to be repointed – and as soon as that’s done I’m very much looking forward to getting out there and getting everything shipshape for the warmer weather (we are definitely going to have some nice warm weather this spring and summer – I’m saying it repeatedly now, in the hope that if we all say it often enough it will actually happen!). There’s a big garden event coming up at QVC this Sunday the 13th, which I’m excited to be working on (and, no doubt, shopping at as well – I can’t help myself!).

I think the Today’s Special Value offer will be very popular – it’s an expandable trellis from Garden Reflections, which will be available in green but also in a wonderful selection of colours, with a choice of violet, pink, ivory or plum flowers. The trellis measures 2m x 1.8m so is bigger than the brand’s  previous trellises and is now made from bamboo instead of willow which makes it really strong.

The materials are all UV resistant and the trellis can be used outdoors all year round regardless of the weather. There are so many uses for it, from hiding unsightly areas like bin stores to giving privacy on a patio or balcony or just brightening up a dull fence or the side of the shed.

I hope you can join us on Sunday – there will be lots going on and I think it will be very good fun!

Love, Jackie x

For Inspirational Women’s Month we welcome you to take a look at the many fantastic, female-founded and led fashion brands we are proud to partner with here.

Hello,

Hope everyone is OK – the world continues to be a scary and unpredictable place and I think we are all feeling a little unsettled and anxious right now. I’m not going to dwell on world events here – more than ever I think it’s important that while we acknowledge the bad things that are going on and do what we can to help, we need to focus too on the little brighter moments. We try to do that for you on-air at QVC, and off air too I’ve had a bit of a crazy (in a good sense!) time since my last blog.

I mentioned then that I was going to be running a half marathon – my first formal running event since I injured my Achilles tendon back in October. Well, that Sunday morning I got up early to head off to run and received the incredible news that my novel The Perfect Couple had gone to number one on the Amazon charts – not just the crime chart, the entire chart! It had reached number two when it first came out but hadn’t quite made the top spot,  but for some reason it started climbing again recently and for the previous few days had been back at number two just behind Harlan Coben at number one. I’ve been a huge fan of his books for years – I have 21 of them on my bookshelf, I counted! – and it was a massive thrill just to be sitting next to him on the charts, but I had accepted that I was never going to knock him off number one. And then – it only flipping happened! I still can’t quite believe it. It really is a dream come true and I’m still pinching myself.

I think the news gave my legs wings because I practically flew around the half marathon course! The weather was appalling – the event was on Greenham Common, to mark last year’s 40th anniversary of the women’s protest camps – and it’s exposed and breezy at the best of times but that day it was pouring with rain and blowing a gale so it was really tough going, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and my leg held up beautifully so that was fantastic too.

And then – you won’t believe this – as I pulled into the driveway back at home, there were lots of leaves blowing around and I spotted a flash of blue in among them, so I went to investigate and there was a fiver. A five pound note, just blowing around in my drive! Our house is open to the road with no gate so I can only think that some poor person opened their wallet while walking nearby and the wind whipped it away.  I popped it in my purse and a couple of days later someone was collecting for charity at the supermarket so I put it in the tin – passing on the good luck!  All in all, one of the best days ever, and made even more wonderful by the fact that it really came out of the blue. It tends to happen like that, doesn’t it? The very best days and the very worst days of your life often happen completely unexpectedly.

Anyway, work is busy as always so here are a couple of things I wanted to flag for you this week. As we get into March I’m now back to using sun protection on my face every single day. Abi, our Ultrasun suncare expert, says we should use it every day of the year regardless of the weather, but particularly between March and October. I’ve used it all winter when I’ve been outside for longer periods (e.g. running!) but now it’s a daily thing and I’ve been using the new SPF 50 Face & Scalp Mist Spray which is fantastic – SO easy, just a quick spritz, and you can even use it over make-up which is amazing.

Perfect if you forget to apply your sun protection in the morning and easy to pop into your bag so you can spray it on if the sun comes out unexpectedly (we can dream, eh…!). Excuse my dirty trainers in this photo but it really is the best new addition to my running kit, I love it.

And one more thing. Back in the autumn one of our lovely jewellery buyers got in touch with the presenters and asked us if there were any classic jewellery pieces we’d like to see being brought back into stock. My answer was immediate – the Kiss ring! I bought two of these rings when I first joined QVC and they have been my very favourite rings. I lost one a couple of years ago and was so sad, so I’m completely delighted that they are now back with us (and yes, I’ve just bought another two, just in case!). This is my original rhodium plated one and they also come in gold, rose gold and mixed gemstone. I see from the reviews so far that others are pleased they are back too, which is nice!

And that’s it for now. Take care and see you soon.

Love Jackie x
