Nottingham born Julia was one of the first two faces to appear on QVC in 1993. Originally a dancer, she moved into television in small acting roles, TV commercials and two series of The Price is Right. She began presenting for a cable TV channel in 1990 after having her two children. In her time off from QVC, Julia writes novels, most recently a police crime/ thriller series.
