Happy 2020!

Hello and happy new year to you all! Cheers to the start of a new decade, and a clean slate for fresh beginnings.

When I look back at the last decade it has been crazy, so many work opportunities and new friends and colleagues, saying goodbye to loved ones, but also the gift of my two children and the end of a very intense fertility journey.

I welcome this year and decade as a big change of focus for me, a chance to actually focus on me! The kids are confident and thriving, and don’t need me in that same dependant way that little ones do. They wipe their own bums, they fetch their own drinks, they wipe up their own spills… I’m not saying they don’t need encouragement to do this, but they’re at least able to now.

Scott and I are also able to enjoy time together now, as the years of tiredness accrued from night feeds and nightmares and tummy bugs, slowly start to ebb away. And as a family we are now able to have adventures on holidays, as there are no nap times, buggies or backpacks full of baby gear that need to be carted around and no diet restrictions… well Josh still only really wants to eat beige foods, preferably chicken nuggets and chips! But you can’t win them all!

So, to mark this new fun family situation, and to start the year as we mean to go on, we took the kids to Lapland just before Christmas.

It was amazing, we had lots of fun and the kids threw themselves into every activity, and meeting ‘The Big Man’ has definitely brought us some more years of believing in the magic of Xmas. I truly hope you all had a wonderful time and that 2020 is a great one for you and your loved ones, whatever your goals and hopes may be.

One of the kids’ favourite Christmas presents was this pair of matching Charlie Bears that are available now along with a huge range of other furry friends on the qvcuk.com website.

Obviously we are now not only in a new year but also in a new month! So we have new deals at The Q. Our January Beauty Product of the Month is from Skinsense – It’s an exclusive launch for QVC, and it’s their new Double Strength Retinal Night Serum. The active retinol has been doubled to 0.6% and the concentration of Hyaluronic Acid has been upped too.

This is a night serum designed to help the skin during its nightly restorative cycle. If you want plumpness, hydration and firmness back in your skin, this is a great product to try. And you have your 30-day money back guarantee which means if you use this every night and don’t see a result you can send it back for a full refund. Win win!

Our Garden Product of the Month is Richard Jackson’s new bird food. This now contains whole sunflower hearts, higher energy suet pellets, plus oat groats, all in all meaning more energy for the birds with each mouthful, they can digest it faster and easier and the changes mean less dust too. There is a 60-day Auto Delivery on this too, if you want to keep the birds happy all year round 🙂

And if you want to store it in something have a look at these beautiful bird food bins in 3 gorgeous colours.

Our Diamonique Design of the Month is so pretty, these 2.44ct Simulated Exotic Diamond Earrings are rhodium-plated sterling silver with a leverback fastening, in 6 gorgeous colours.

And finally our Supersize of the Month is the Prime Fifty Fighting Fatigue 3 Month Supply. Perfect for giving you the energy you need to start the year with a bounce in your step!

We also have some great TSV offers this month too. How about this Sealy Quantum Edge 1500 Springs Geltex Pillowtop Mattress & Divan, our TSV on the 4th Jan but you can grab it now! It’s also available as a mattress only, without the divan.

And on Jan 10th we have a very cool Faux Leather Biker Jacket from Centigrade. Or if you’re planning on getting fit for 2020, what about this TSV on Jan 11th – the Vionic Orthotic Angle Ingrid Colour Contrast Trainer w/FMT technology?

The Big Deals this week are:

A Kim & Co printed tunic.

The Dr Botanicals Ultrasonic Pod Aroma Diffuser & Humidifier.

A Silentnight Breatheasy pillow.

The Simply Beauty Precision Single Hair Epilator.

Don’t forget to also check out our podcasts, Alison Keenan has been chatting to Will, and we also have a new interview with the green fingered Michael Perry on there to ahead of our new gardening season.

Thanks so much for reading my blog.

Here’s to a wonderful year.

Loads of love

Alex xx
