Hello! Happy New Year to you all. I really hope that you all managed to have as best a Christmas as possible and that Santa filled your stockings to the brim! We had a lovely, albeit a quiet one.
The kids did well and were gifted a Virtual Reality game set… well I say it was for the kids, I’m not sure they’ve managed to get a turn yet!
Lunch was lovely – as with the rest of the country we had ordered a turkey for more than just the 4 of us! It was huge! I followed a Jamie Oliver recipe and made my own stuffing and it turned out lovely!
Turkey pie was made with the leftovers though which was yummy!
I was back at work for Boxing Day and the few days afterwards which was the first time for me, normally I work the New Year period, but it was lovely to get out of the house actually and see all the crew who have worked so hard this last year.
We had planned with the week off to go away… but was not meant to be, so we’ve watched lots of films, played lots and eaten and drunk more than was necessary! But hey ho!
We had planned to do dry Jan, but with the announcement of school closures and home schooling re-starting, it’s looking unlikely!
So with 2020 firmly behind us let’s look at what’s happening this year! We have some new brands at the Q!
Olaplex joins us! This is so exciting – these guys are amazing at strengthening hair! Most hairdressers when you’ve had bleach or colour will ask if you want an Olaplex treatment these days, and now you can do it at home!
I’ve ordered the No.0 which you use with their No.3, but it can also be used individually. Everything we had went so quickly! But No.0 is still available as I write this… keep checking back for the rest of the range though if it’s strength your hair is looking for, and head to Beauty Stories for a full feature on the brand.
Algenist is an amazing skincare range and I’m obsessed with the supersize we have of their Genius Liquid Collagen Serum.
It looks like gold because it’s infused with 26,000 beads of micro-algae oil, full of vitamin E, and omegas 3,6,and 9. My skin feels soft and hydrated, I love it.
But it’s not just about new brands, we also have more items from our regular brands like Neom, who I absolutely cannot get enough of!
We have a new set which gives you one of their amazing candles and the most delicious body butter. Everything about the range looks expensive, oozes quality and delivers! This month our podcast with the lovely Will is with Nicola Elliott who is the wonder woman being this brand. Listen here.
