Running around like a headless… pigeon??

Yes, that’s me at the mo folks!!

Hi everyone, hope you’re all safe and well.

I don’t know about you but I had to do several double takes when I saw this pigeon in the photo!! I just had to capture the moment albeit after I realised this poor fellow hadn’t lost its head completely, but it was in fact tucked into its chest!

So why do I relate to this little creature? Well I’m approaching a house move! They reckon it is one of the most stressful experiences we go through. Not having done this since 1998, I have to say that yes indeed, it’s feeling pretty hairy!! I consider myself not necessarily one to clutter but I’ve been to the local refuse depot eight times and also given away soooooooo much!! It’s amazing what you accumulate over the years. I am however nearly there and although in many ways it’ll be a tad bittersweet to leave after so many years, I am very excited about moving even more into the countryside.

So as you can guess I’ve been up to my eyes in clearing out and cleaning and very appreciative of a handy cleaning kit from Aqua Laser. I actually find clearing out and cleaning very therapeutic, but I have to say I’ll be glad to be in my new home… even if it does take an age to unpack (believe it or not I discovered the odd box untouched, from nearly 23 years ago! Really!!). If it all gets too much, I may well try doing an impression of that headless pigeon and hide for a while or at least until the worst is over!!

What I will also be doing is some therapeutic indulgence with a very special Today’s Special Value (TSV) from the lovely Liz Earle range, coming up on Sunday!! The Hydrate and Restore Botanical Skincare Five-Piece Collection is available on pre-sell now, check out creating the ultimate spa experience with the treatment and accompanying face mask.

Well a new day may well be dawning, but the memories will come with me and I’ll be looking forward to creating a whole set of new ones!!

Happy shopping, stay safe…  and speak soon!

Take care,

Anne xx

  1. Hi Anne,
I love your feathered photo! It’s brilliant! I didn’t realise you were moving house and after so long it must be quite an upheaval. Good luck and I wish you much happiness. I have a feeling you’ve been through a bad time. Are any of your boys moving with you? Take care especially as no doubt you’ll still be helping your brother x
