Hello, I hope my last blog before Christmas finds you safe and well.
Christmas – it seems to have arrived quicker than ever this year! And for the first time, I’m properly prepared (most unlike me!) I have got better over the years, but as I write this I’ve just got a few presents left to wrap, otherwise everything is pretty much done. Phew!
I enjoy a quiet Christmas with a few mince pies, a lovely walk with my dogs, and as many board games as possible. And of course, a Christmas cracker without the snap, as my dogs hate them. New Year is always a nice quiet one, but these days I dread midnight as the relentless fireworks terrify one of my dogs in particular. You can probably sense, I’m not a fan of fireworks now that I’ve seen how much stress they can cause. And it’s not just animals, but I know many people struggle with them as well.

I am lucky enough to be part of a very close and loving family, but have had some very difficult times this year. Hope you had a lovely Christmas, we have 2 German Shepherd’s and they are petrified of fireworks so am completely with you with regards to hating fireworks, I hate seeing animals distressed, our 2 dogs are around 40kg each so when this happens they want to sit on our laps. It’s a shame but people seem to have them at any time now.

Hi Toni, that’s hard for you pets and quite a weight to sit on your lap! You’re right, they seem to be let off more than ever these days. And, Guy Fawkes night seems to run and run… so frustrating and upsetting.
