Hello,
As part of our Feeling Good Together campaign, the month of March is Sleep Month at QVC! Funnily enough, when I’m feeling especially tired, I feel like I could sleep for a month.
Having said that, I seem to get by on a moderate amount of sleep, now more than ever as I’m that little bit older. I’m very fortunate that on the whole I fall asleep fairly quickly and tend to sleep right through… most of the time.
I’m sometimes asked if I have a routine before slipping into the covers. Well, working slightly out of the ordinary hours, the days of going to bed before 11pm are far behind me. But I have a few things in place that make a huge difference to my sleep.
For me, if my pillow isn’t comfy then forget it – there’s no chance of me falling asleep. QVC kindly asked me to try out the Tempur pillow a few years ago, and I’ve never looked back. I found it transformative. Finding that ‘sweet spot’ of comfort comes so easily every time I rest my head down, which in turn helps me to fall asleep much more quickly.
I’d add at this point, it is a considered purchase, and in truth had I not been asked to trial it, it possibly would have passed me by. But, now that I’ve tried it and love it, there’s no going back for me. When the time comes, I’ll order another one for sure. I have recommended it to so many people. In fact, one of the QVC guests asked me if I really did believe in this pillow. Well, after a long chat, they placed an order and when we next saw each other at work, she said it was dramatically helping with her night’s sleep. The great thing is with QVC, of course, is you have the 60 Day Money-Back Guarantee.
Bedding, for me, can really enrich the look, feel, and mood, of a room. But, when the lights go off, it’s how it feels against the skin that counts. I love 100% cotton from the likes of Northern Nights and K by Kelly Hoppen. But, when it comes to autumn and winter, it has to be Cozee Home! There is a downside to introducing new bedding though… my Cairns will often get there before me!
I should mention that we have some fabulous pet beds from Cozee Pets and Silentnight too!
Another little rule I’ve set myself is to keep all screen time out of the bedroom. So, there’s no TV in my room and although my phone is in there with me, once I’m in bed, that’s it – no more viewing.
I find reading really beneficial to help me relax and unwind. In fact, often within a few pages, I can feel my eyes closing. Because of this, it’s not unusual for a book to last me several months! Playing the piano also really helps me to unwind and switch off. Then, if I’m really spoiling myself, I’ll run a bath with some fabulous Molton Brown formulas.
Finally, if I can’t sleep, I’ve learnt to ‘not’ look at the time, as that will just infuriate me, which in turn makes it even harder to fall asleep. It can be a vicious circle.
Ultimately, I think it’s about finding what best works for you. But, my top tips would be to find a fabulous pillow and mattress (you have the brilliant 60 Night Money-Back Guarantee with QVC) and to ban the screens from the bedroom! We have top brands at QVC, from the likes of Silentnight, Sealy, Tempur, Northern Nights and Cozee Home too.
All of a sudden, I’m feeling a bit sleepy!
Sweet dreams… and I’ll see you soon. 🙂

Hi Charlie
As someone who has found it difficult to sleep well for many years, I can honestly say that since purchasing a lovely Cozee Home velvet soft bedding set from QVC, lying in bed is certainly much cosier (even if I’m not asleep).
Your diamonique design of the month looks great – being a lucky four leaf clover made from hearts, I’m sure it will appeal to many, it’s such a pretty design.
Its always lovely to see pictures of your 2 Cairns in your blogs – they look adorable 🙂
Best wishes
Jules

Hi Jules, and thanks for your message and I’m glad you like seeing pictures of my Cairns!
I’m glad Cozee Home has helped to give you a more comfortable time in bed. I think it’s finding what worse for us individually. So glad you like the design of the month. Thanks you.
Best wishes

Hi Irene, I am sorry you are struggling to sleep. This last year has been so overwhelming and is affecting us all in so many different ways. The pillow, I love, and wouldn’t be without it now. If it doesn’t work for you, then do please send it back. It must be lovely to have your cats for company. I find reading can help me relax, although I need to be careful the book isn’t too exciting as that can wake me up!
Best wishes
