I’m secretly really pleased with myself! I’ve taken my own advice and I’m keeping on top of my health and wellbeing in the run up to Christmas. I’ve already shirked a few Christmas parties and, in their place, put my health and happiness first. After writing in my last story that Jackie Kabler was my exercise inspiration, I’m now just one week later and three 20 minute runs under my belt! It’s been years since I’ve been able to do this.
The feel-good factor is tremendous and all outside in the fresh air, hopefully it will last deep into December and beyond. Just doing those jogs this week has made me feel much more balanced and in control of my life, which is what’s needed when life feels fast and furious. I’ve loved layering up in my Skechers active wear and Regatta lightweight jackets.
If you keep your eye on weather apps as I do, you’ll know temperatures are set to plummet very soon, real winter will kick in, some days maybe just a few degrees above freezing.
