Autumn walks, the new normal and Craig, the Le Creuset cook…

Hello, I hope you’re keeping safe and well.

I’ve got to say straight from the get-go, the latest Le Creuset Today’s Special Value is brilliant and has turned me into a cook! The set launching Wednesday night (4th November) includes a 26cm casserole dish, 32cm grill pan and a brilliant cookbook ‘The Cast-Iron Way to Cook’. The product number is 809765.

I have been lucky enough to try out the colour called Flint (you know how much I adore grey!) and over the last few days I have made everything from roasted vegetables with herby grilled seabass to Jerk chicken and the most delicious apple crumble I think I’ve ever made!

As you can imagine, it being from Le Creuset, the cookware is so well-made, a joy to use and I’ve had amazing results from using them. I am posting some of the photos here, and be sure to keep an eye on my Instagram and Twitter over the coming days as I have some videos I’ll be posting, too.

One last point that you might not be aware of is that everything in the Le Creuset Today’s Special Value comes with a lifetime guarantee – amazing!

One picture I had to share this week was one taken from my dressing room from the Diamonique show with Julia, featuring the return of jewellery expert Alison O’Reilly.

It was amazing to see her on the screen again and looking so radiant. I felt quite emotional watching her; she is an inspiration to so many people. Welcome back, Alison – I speak for many people when I say how much I missed you.

Of course, it is the norm now to chat to guests via video link – what felt rather strange to begin with is now the new way of life. It got me thinking when Paul and I went shopping on Sunday, how normal it felt to be walking around wearing masks and sanitising our hands as we walked into each store or cafe.

Now, with the month-long national lockdown approaching this week, we will all have to be settling into another new normal – at least for the time being.

Finally, I met up with my friend Hemi recently for an autumn walk in the park. We always have good fun and as he is an actor and performer, so we normally end up singing and dancing. This time was no exception and I thought this was a rather funny photo as I was about to burst into song!

Sending big hugs and look after yourself, especially in the next coming weeks. See you for the Le Creuset shows, it’s going to be very exciting, busy and great fun!

Much love,

Craig x
