Birthdays, (more) sleep and floral bouquets to rejoice!

Hello and thanks for reading my blog.

So, here we are, we’ve arrived in autumn – my birthday is 22 September which marks the first day of the new season. I always remind myself that the time between now and Christmas goes in the blink of an eye, so if you’re anything like me and like to get ready without the last minute rush, my advice is start planning and get organising now.

Lots to report on this week. Here goes.

Birthdays 

It was my birthday on Sunday and I had a get-together at my flat which was so much fun. Friends, neighbours and even a surprise visit from my sister, brother-in-law and nieces – it was so wonderful! Here are a couple of photos of the party.

My friend Emma treated me to the most amazing birthday cake from the Violet bakery in Hackney – the same bakery that made the Royal wedding cake for Harry and Megan – I felt very privileged!

It’s also QVC’s birthday on 1 October and the UK’s number one shopping channel is going to be 26 years old. As you can imagine there is lots of fun planned and I hope you join me for a special show called ‘Celebrate with Us’ where I’ll be launching the special birthday Today’s Special Value offer on 1 October.

Let’s just say if you like good quality chocolate and you like lots of it, you will not want to miss this one (one clue I can give you is that it’s from Swiss brand Lindt)

Before then,  there’s lots to look forward to, including a beautifully soft and cosy textured Kelly Hoppen Today’s Special Value throw, which you can see here on my bed.

I rather like it strewn across the bed like this – you can see the silver grey in the picture and it’s the most beautiful warm tone for winter. This is a throw that you snuggle up with on the sofa or on your favourite armchair, as well as on the bed.

Talking of sleep, here at QVC we are currently celebrating all things sleep with our Sleeptember month. I will have the final Sleeptember show this Saturday at 10 PM, where we have everything you need to get a good night’s sleep.

Also this weekend we have a wonderful L’Occitaine Today’s Special Value, and I will be hosting the final show this Saturday evening at 9 PM. I’m delighted there is also an option for the men in the form of the Cedrat’ fragrance.

In the set is a shower gel, deodorant, hand cream and the eau de cologne fragrance. The fragrance is uplifting, fresh and reviving but also has a depth of wood notes which makes the fragrance classic and masculine. This is going to be my signature fragrance for the rest of 2019– love it!

And finally, next Sunday into Monday we have a Peony Today’s Special Value that I will be launching. It’s a beautiful big bouquet of large flowers – my favourite are the white lilies.

I haven’t had a chance yet to bring a sample of the Today’s Special Value offer home to photograph, so keep an eye on my Instagram for photos of the display around my home.

If like me you have lots of white or black textures it would be absolutely perfect. It’s one of the largest displays that we’ve offered as of today. And I think it’s going to be really popular.
