Hello – hope you are keeping safe and well.
So, lots to look forward to this week at QVC, and I wanted to share with you some of what I’ve been up to outside of work as well.
Firstly, this Sunday we have a wonderful offer from French skincare brand L’Occitane. It’s a five-piece collection called ‘For the Love of Shea’ – and it includes their much-loved Shea Shower Oil, Hand Cream, Triple Milled Soap, Liquid Soap and an additional Liquid Soap Refill.
There are three options to choose from: Fresh, Floral or Warm. I’ve been trying out the Fresh option (as shown in the photo below) and I particularly love the new Citrus Liquid Soap which contains a vibrant blend of citrus fruits. I’ll be showing you the collection with Alexis in my 11am and 2pm shows on Sunday. So, even if this rather gloomy weather persists, I promise to whisk you away to the Provence!
I have also been out and about much more in London over the last couple of weeks, as things have started to open up more. I rather like the photo at the top that my niece took of me in Covent Garden, which says it all – hello London!
My wonderful niece, Jasmine, came to stay with me for a few days and we had some wonderful quality time together. We also visited her grandmother for a get-together in the garden to celebrate her 65th birthday. We had delicious Jamaican food, rum punch and the sunshine even came out for a couple of hours – wonderful!
The other thing I’ve been doing over the last couple of weeks is trying out some new recipes. This one has become a new favourite: oven-baked salmon served with pea and broccoli mash and a green salad. Its so easy to make. I just sprinkle some black pepper over the salmon and put in in the oven at 160C for 20 minutes. Whilst that’s cooking, I steam equal amounts of broccoli and frozen peas, then blitz together some mint, butter, salt and pepper and it’s done – delicious!
