No blue Monday here!

Hello, and thanks for reading my blog.

If you’re wondering about the title, it’s because I’m writing this on the morning of Monday 20th of January, which is the infamous annual ‘Blue Monday’. This is the Monday where apparently many of us feel low, with Christmas now a distant memory, spring a long way off and still over a week until payday!

If you are feeling this way, I hope I can cheer you up with my blog this week, because there’s lots to look forward to!

It’s another busy week here at QVC, and on Tuesday we have a wellness-inspired Today’s Special Value offer in the form of the Powerfit Vibrating Fitness Plate – an ingenious little vibrating platform that can make any exercise or stretch you do more efficient and effective.

As you can see in the photos, I have been using it for press ups, tricep dips and glutes bridges – three simple exercises that are great for toning up the arms and bum whilst helping to strengthen your core and back.

I am back on a fitness kick and following a specific plan, but if you just want to start making small steps to getting in better shape, this would be a great place to start.

Also on Tuesday, I have my first show with Amanda Wakeley. I’m really looking forward to spending some time with Amanda as she is such an incredible designer. If you’d like to see the accessories she designs for QVC, you can see the full range here.

Then on Wednesday, from 2pm to 4pm, I have a wonderful household show headlined by the EcoEgg Today’s Special Value offer. It’s a brilliant Duo Pack Supersize Stain Remover Spray, which is something I have as a staple in my utility cupboard.

I like it because it’s really effective at removing make-up, wine, grass stains, etc., but it’s also gentle on fabrics.

Also in the show, I’ll be launching German super-brand ‘Bosch’ at QVC, starting with an incredible Steam Generator Iron. All this and loads more of their ingenious ideas will help you refresh your home ready for spring.

Outside of work, having felt rather run down and full of cold, I have been trying to ease myself into the year by getting a bit more rest, increasing my exercise and yoga, as well as getting out in the daylight on clear days.

You can see the photos of a lovely walk I did on the weekend along the Lee Valley.

So, that’s it for this week. Keep an eye on my blog in the coming weeks where I will share more about the Jane Scrivner range I am trying out, as well as my favourite winter pieces from the Joules menswear range that we have at QVC.

Sending you big hugs, and see you soon.
