Hello and thanks for reading my final blog of October.
Hope you are slowly gearing up for Christmas and most importantly, keeping warm!
So, a few things to report this week in my blog:
Firstly, we have a really exciting Yankee Candle Today’s Special Value offer tonight, Thursday 31st of October. It’s the biggest biggest amount of ‘wax’ in a TSV that we have ever seen at QVC, including two large, two medium and two small jar candles.

You can choose between eight fragrances, and I was lucky enough to try out a small jar candle in one of the newest festive fragrances, ‘Glittering Star’.

It was beautifully spicy and warm yet bright and welcoming. Join myself and Rosa for the 9pm launch and again at midnight – both full hour Yankee candle shows – I can’t wait!
As you know, I am a big fan of the Joules menswear range that we have at QVC, and you can see me here wearing another couple of pieces from the range.

This is a great layering piece made from cotton, and you can never go wrong with a plain grey T-shirt worn alone on warmer days or under a jumper of shirt in winter. And then this smart navy sweater.

With its medium density of cotton, it’s light enough to wear with a blazer, but warm enough to keep out the cold if travelling to work, or going out for a walk or lunch. You can see the full Menswear range here.
I was lucky enough to visit the Houses of Parliament last week – what an amazing experience! I was the guest of my good friend Lance, who’d been invited by his local MP Meg Hillier.

It was a wonderful evening to celebrate black history month; we enjoyed a drinks reception, a tour of the house of Parliament (both the House of Commons and House of Lords), and a rare chance to see some of the workings of the heart of our UK government.

You can see various photos here where I am enjoying the visit.

And here’s a picture of lovely Meg herself, who is also currently in the running to become Speaker of the House, so we all have our fingers crossed for her.

And finally, here is a recipe for a lovely warming drink that I have been enjoying recently. It’s from my friend and brilliant yoga teacher Ling: an Ayurvedic vegan drink and it’s absolutely delicious. It’s easy to make, and as you can see in the picture here it has a beautiful golden colour.

Here is the recipe:
- Lings Golden Vegan Milk
- 200 ml coconut milk
- 200 ml non-dairy milk (you could use cows milk but I think a non-dairy version is more Ayurvedic)
- A spoonful of coconut oil
- Half a teaspoon turmeric
- Half a teaspoon ground ginger
- Touch of black pepper
- Dash of maple syrup (add more if you like it sweeter)
- Simply mix together in a pan warming gently as you mix – simples!
I’d love to know if you make it and what you think. It’s a really good substitute if you sometimes want a change from a milky coffee.
So that’s it for me this week. Have a great week and see you soon.
Big hugs,
Craig XX
