A busy week at The Q and an offer that hits the spot!

I hope all’s well…

My heart goes out to all those affected by the deluges of rain and resulting floods reported on the national news – I genuinely hope that they are able to get back to relative normality as soon as possible, after what must be an exhausting and huge clearing up operation.

As could clearly be seen on our tellies, the autumn season can often bring surprisingly treacherous weather but on the flip side, can also be one of the most spectacularly beautiful seasons as well. I always have my smart phone with me and have taken some gorgeous shots, which I wanted to share with you.

I returned back to The Q last week and virtually straight into one of the busiest ever weeks in our history! Every day there are savings and great offers to be had, particularly our Festive Finds which you can enjoy daily in the run up to Christmas.

If you would like to pop over to my Facebook page cunningly named ‘DaleFranklinQVC’, I’ve posted a video of myself and Hotel Chocolat’s lovely chocolatier, Kiri Kalenko, creating a new flavour of truffle. A couple of months ago, myself, Katy and Will were tasked with coming up with our own ideas and I decided to reach back into my childhood and try and re-create a modern take on an old schoolboy favourite of mine – aniseed balls!

So we set about spicing up the aniseed with chilli to appeal to an adult palate and I must say both Kiri and I were shocked with how well it went. Kiri will present our creation to the selection committee at Hotel Chocolat and it will receive either a Red or the much sort after Green card from the team.

Also on the day there will be an amazing competition running on Twitter. Throughout the day a hashtag will be offered on-air which you have to tweet back to QVCUK – if you tweet back all four hashtags you’ll automatically be entered into the competition, the lucky winner of which will receive a Hotel Chocolat prize worth in excess of £650!!

The fourth hashtag will be given out in the first hour of Andi Peters’ Food Fest, which starts at 6pm, and Andi and I plan to announce the lucky winner in the second hour!! (Terms and conditions apply and can be found on our website here).

  2. Hi Dale, lovely to have you back and with Andy Peters on the food shows, do you have your tea before you do these shows or just wait all day to try all the wonderful food that you have on. I bought a cheese set for a friend recently and he was delighted especially the truffle one, I’d love to try lots of the food you have on but it would cause me problems but I could perhaps cope with the Hotel Chocolat. Looking forward to your next food show with Andy.
