Christmas walks and a big thank you!

I hope all’s well and you all enjoyed the festive break.

I had a very pleasant, albeit quieter, family Christmas/birthday and we managed to go out for a lovely walk with Ali, Jack and of course Ellie and Toby (complete with Christmas ribbons), whilst Tracey insisted on staying home to prepare a wonderful Christmas dinner. Entirely her wishes I might add – we all wanted to play a part in preparing Christmas dinner, but I think secretly she really wanted us out of the way and of course Ellie and Toby needed their exercise. To be fair, as it was also my birthday, I didn’t really need too much encouragement to get out of her hair, so my only contribution was to carve and eat!

Tracey’s arrangements worked a treat, as her dinner was once again superb, and we ate like kings and queens. The combination of exercise and a little turkey led Toby to his favourite bed (yes, he has two!), his Silentnight Orthopaedic Pet Bed.

Thank you for your wonderful comments left on my Christmas message blog and to all those who left comments on Twitter and my QVC Facebook page,  I loved reading them all – thank you!

Talking of “thank you”, that’s the theme all day at The Q on New Year’s Eve as we of course thank you for your continued patronage throughout this difficult year and invite you all to pass on your thanks to anyone who has helped you get through it – in any way. Watch out for messages from The Q to you throughout the day and feel free to leave a message to a special person in the comments section below.

I’ll be with you again right over the New Year.

So, I take this opportunity of wishing you a very Happy New Year, which surely carries all our hopes of a return to a more “normal” life for all. Let’s leave behind 2020, whilst taking with us the many positives that emerged.

I hope you’ve enjoyed being a valued member of our close-knit community we have here at The Q. While we may be close-knit, we’ve kept our distance on-air, which ironically as a team has brought us even closer together! Never has teamwork been more relevant and important and we’ve learnt many new ways of doing things along the way.

Stay well, stay positive and Thank You again for being a part of our QVC family.

Until next year… let’s stay positive, together and well!

  3. Happy new year Dale.

I am glad to hear that you had a lovely birthday/Christmas and enjoyed all the good things in life: good food, good company and a little exercise 😃

The Q has been a lifeline this year, I found I watched more for company than shopping. Altho there was a fair amount of shopping too lol.

Take care & stay safe. Joanna xx

    1. Thank you Joanna, It’s wonderful to hear from so many Customers that QVC provided them some “normality” (apart from Andi Peters’ Food Fest – of course ;)) Dale x

  4. Hi Dale, Happy New Year. Is there any way you could let me know where I could find a sweater like the one you were wearing on New Years Day. My husband loves it . Hope you and your family stay safe
    Regards
    Megan

    1. Hi Megan – I think the one I was wearing was from Barbour it’s maroon, blue and buttons up like a cardigan ? very comfy 🙂 Happy NY to you and Mr Elvin ! Dale x

    1. It’s funny Anne, but my dogs always seem to make a fuss of people who don’t seem to like them ! It encourages them all the more unfortunately – They both love human interaction particularly Toby who leans against their legs and looks up hoping for a treat – it often works :)) Dale x
