Food Fest and a timely offer from Tova

I hope all’s well…

Don’t forget this weekend the clocks go back an hour so that means an extra hour in bed… every year it reminds me of the time many years ago, when for once, Jack and I were the first to turn up for his weekly football match! As anybody who knows me, I’m not always the earliest 😂 and I was filled with disappointment to see that the Clubhouse Cafe wasn’t open! What about my bacon sarny! Of course, I was the only one who had failed to remember the hour change. I know it’s only one hour, but it’s surprising how much it throws Toby and Ellie. At the ripe old age of thirteen, Toby loves his food and you can tell the time by his stomach – it takes him a good week to accept that his twice daily meals arrive an hour late!

Talking of food (human not dog), as regular viewers of the Andi Peters Food Fest will know, sadly Andi was absent last week due to illness. Unfortunately he wasn’t taken poorly until the day of the show, so we weren’t able to change the show and guests at late notice. I did my best to keep the essence of our lively show and to his credit, Andi was tweeting throughout the show from his sick bed.

Many thanks to all of you for sticking with me without Andi. Andi prides himself in rarely going sick and in the nine years we’ve worked together this is only the second time he’s had to miss a show. I’ve kept in contact with him and he should be back for another two hours on Monday at 7pm for lots of tasty treats so I hope you can join us if you can.
