Stay well satiated and warm

I hope all is well…

…I know I still can’t believe it’s 2020 either or that we’re already at the end of January!

We’ve had some beautiful cold evenings recently at home and I grabbed this pick of a starlit sky using a long exposure on my iPhone!

Needless to say my shaggy dogs have been enjoying the colder weather too and here I’m pictured with Ellie sharing a secret on a recent walk.

I was due to be presenting the first Andi Peters’ Food Fest show of the year on Monday but as I’m sure many of you may have heard Piers Morgan say on Good Morning Britain, Andi managed to get shingles and had to cancel a few TV appearances, including his two hour Monday show with myself. I have spoken a couple of times with Andi and I’m pleased to say he’s making a good recovery from what I understand is a very painful experience and we all wish him well in his recovery.

Andi and his team are hopeful of a swift return to our screens and who knows, he may even be able to join me this Thursday as we have a wonderful Today’s Special Value (TSV) from The Real Pie Company!

Co-founder Brett Hornby and his team have come up with three mouth-watering choices for us in the form of a 10 piece Steak, Chicken or Vegetarian selection!

The Real Pie Company prides itself on their pies being “crammed to the crust” and the Sussex-based company have won many awards for their pies and pasties.

I have listed the pies below and regular Real Pie Co. customers will notice that there are some new flavours that Brett, in conjunction with our buyers, has developed. I was sent a selection of Chicken and Steak pies and immediately sampled three of them (see short video). You’ll receive 10 pies in your chosen selection.

As always the pies didn’t disappoint and were delicious – there’s no doubt that a pie is a hearty meal at any time of year but particularly so in these colder months!

Steak option:

• 2 x Peppered Steak
• 2 x Steak & Horseradish (NEW)
• 2 x Steak & Stout
• 2 x Beef Bourguignon (NEW)
• 2 x Minced Steak & Onion (NEW RECIPE)

Chicken option:

• 2 x Chicken Bacon & Parsley (NEW)
• 2 x Hunter’s Chicken (NEW)
• 2 x Balti Chicken (NEW)
• 2 x Chicken & Leek
• 2 x Chicken & Mushroom

Veg option:

• 4 x Leek, Potato & Cheddar Cheese (NEW)
• 4 x Chestnut Mushroom, Leek, & Stilton
• 2 x Mediterranean Vegetable (NEW)

The pies arrive at your door chilled having been baked to order and can be eaten immediately, refrigerated or frozen for future enjoyment.

I’ll be with Brett on Thursday at 4pm and then I return (hopefully with Andi 🙂 ) at 6pm for a two hour show featuring many of our fine food brands, including a final look at our Real Pie Company TSV!
