Had loads of cuddles with baby and three-year-old down in Wales this week, and came back full of oxytocin! There’s nothing like cuddles with little ones is there! Had a lovely couple of days in Wales with my daughter.
Little Jasper the new baby has put on a pound! Had a lovely afternoon down by the seaside in Aberaeron, afternoon tea, a nice lunch and a nice walk. Including when I did this vlog down on the seafront.
Lots of family time, just what the doctor ordered! Can’t wait to go back and see them again! Such a lovely little family.
Snippets
Crabbing
One of the things we did was crabbing – with a little crab line and a tiny little net in which Phoebe delighted in putting a bit of leftover fish and chips, then dropped it into the seabed! Didn’t catch anything but Nick said he used to do it all the time as a kid and has done it previously and caught some with Phoebe before putting them back again! I said I only remember going down to the seafront in Hastings with my dad years and years ago, in the mid 70s, when he had a prawn net, and eating the prawns in the evening! So Phoebe will have some lovely childhood memories too with her lovely dad Nick.
Nail-ing it with Elizabeth
On the way home, I met a lovely lady called Elizabeth Evans who stopped me for a chat at the petrol station. She said she adores our Orly Calcium nail product, which has made a massive difference to her own nails and highly recommended it, so much so that she loved ordering some new Diamonique recently! Always nice to say hello and I enjoyed chatting to her. 🙂

Ladies lunching including Lesley!
Had a super get-together with two lovely friends who I met on Facebook when they won an auction prize for a day out at MDD in Milton Keynes, and my mum! More pictures of the doggies next week but just to say we had a really nice day out with Caroline and Sharon, including a super lunch, on me, at the Betsy Wynne in Swinbourne – it’s fabulous! Even with the weather and bad traffic, I spent five hours in the car! Then came back in and did my #ThursdayBantz on Facebook – do go to my official page to see more, or just try searching the hashtag!
Watch – Marry Me at the cinema
Quite a tough week with brother so took myself off to see a super film at the cinema after getting my nails done. Really enjoyed this bubblegum film, bubblegum for the brain that is, starring Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson as a popstar who marries a man on spur of the moment who turns out to be the love of her life, obviously! Recommended if you want a little escapism! 7.75 out of 10.

Book of the week – Again, Rachel
Such a clever title as well. I whizzed through this one whilst I was away and on the long journeys it kept me amused! Marian Keyes is such a skilful storyteller, and this one follows up on her first massive bestseller Rachel’s Holiday. The thing is if anyone is going through problems with a relative or friend who is an addict of one kind or another, it’s actually a bit like therapy reading this book. Skilled counsellor at an addiction clinic, The Cloisters, Rachel has issues of her own when her ex comes back on the scene, and long forgotten memories resurface. I loved all the individual characters that Rachel ends up helping. Marian has struggled with her own challenges with depression, and this one comes from the heart. Long-awaited sequel. Loved it! Highly recommended. 🙂
