Don’t miss our fab October fashion event

This week at QVC is going to be very exciting, as we are running a two-day fashion event on Monday 5th and Tuesday 6th October. We will be welcoming in new styles with exciting mixes of fabrics and luscious new colour ranges. You can expect some of your favourite designers, including WULI:LUU by Gok Wan, Ruth Langsford, MarlaWynne and Kim & Co.

Alongside the main fashion pieces, you’ll see that we have also put together some great accessories for you to choose from. Let’s start with iconic British brand Radley. On Monday 5^th (launching at 9pm Sunday 4^th October ) you will have a chance to buy the Hayward Place triple compartment flap-over shoulder bag, currently only available at QVC . (Look out for item number 186847.)

The bag is beautifully crafted from fine leather and has a triple compartment design with a zipped central section. As with all Radley designs it carries a timeless, classic feel. They have added interest with contrasting texture on the magnetic flap and lining, plus not forgetting their signature Scottie dog charm! This is a medium-sized bag and comes in five rich colours, Tortoise Faux Croc, Willow Faux Croc, Black Suede, Rio Faux Croc and Ink Suede.

Both of the Today’s Special Values on 5th and 6th October tap into big stories for A/W fashion 2020. Velvet style, faux animal texture and suede.

This leads me to the velveteen jacket from Denim & Co. (look out for item number 186525.) This is Tuesday’s Today’s Special Value. In my humble opinion, this is a little hidden treasure. This will be a wonderful transition jacket from your summer denim to a lush A/W jacket. Its style is in keeping with a traditional short jacket, featuring a collar, breast pockets, button and a front placket. For me, however, the stand out feature is the velveteen fabric. In the photos you’ll see I am wearing the Pine option in size Small.

It also comes in three other colours, Black, Navy and Burgundy, with sizing XS to 3XL. I’d definitely recommend giving this a go, and I imagine it’ll be very popular especially at such an affordable price. I personally love this jacket.

Next up on my style choices, this outfit has been selected by our presenter stylist Stine.

The spotlight is on the cardigan from Rino & Pelle. Its long length is perfect for styling over a longer jersey dress, as shown in my picture, but I also think this would work really well with the jeans and top from the image with the Denim & Co. jacket. The cardigan has a medium weight, so you don’t have to layer too much, as you will be warm enough. The structure makes this cardigan hold its shape well on the body and with no clinging.

Underneath we have gone for a great staple midi dress in Graphite, but the dress does come in four other colours . Its longer neckline gives it a smarter look and a streamlined flow.

We’ve teamed the look with these gorgeous loafers from Moda in Pelle, coming in four different colours. Mine are in Pewter. Loafers have undoubtedly made a huge comeback and these guys have made them not only classy, but so trendy and comfortable too.

My final outfit is from Gok Wan and his collection WULI:LUU by Gok Wan. Like all of Gok’s clothes, they are well made and the tailoring is superb. Again, coming back to the velvet trend, the top is so luxurious and soft against the skin. I like that the cowl neckline sits well and doesn’t fall down on the chest. Although it is elegant, it wouldn’t look out of place if worn during the day for a more relaxed look.

Drum roll please for the trousers… I am in love with these. The high-waisted six button design is so flattering and really accentuates the waist. I don’t normally go for a kick flare, but these have really changed my mind on this style. They give such a fabulous longline look and even my short legs look longer! They come in sizes 8 to 22.

Please have a look on our website at the boots from Moda in Pelle. These ankle boots are not only comfortable with a 3.3” heel, but will be the classy edge to your outfit whether you choose, trousers, jeans or even an A-line skirt. Some of my faves are linked.
